Kevin - thanks for doing this - Classmates.com is a little restrictive - you can't always reply when people contact you! I'll try to spread the work about this site- see you this summer, Linda Wolf Campbell

Likewise, thanks Kevin for all of your fine efforts to get this forum going.

I´d like to start making our classmates aware of Costa Rica´s medical and dental systems for those who can not afford proper medical care in the States. Medical care in Costa Rica is actually rated higher than in the U.S. by the W.H.O. (United Nations World Health Organization.
I already have significant first hand experience with the system here and am willing to help my classmates in any way I can.

I´ve started to write for a medical blog based out of Seattle that is targeted to help Americans and Canadians find medical solutions outside of the States. It´s free service and is just getting started: http://traveling4health.com/. I´m also finishing up a very long list of the medical facilities available here that I´ll soon post on the website.

Most of the doctors here have advanced degrees in their specialties from American universities. Costa Rica may not have as much of the latest technology available as in the States, but the doctors here actually spend time with their patients to get to know them well enough to properly diagnose their problems. In many cases, it´s far cheaper to have surgeries, buy a round-trip ticket, pay a couple or few weeks of comfortable recovery facility or bed `n breakfast and living expenses than what it would cost in the States.

I'm still in a daze from seeing so many people for the first time is so many years. And I know there were people there I wanted to see who I missed because it was such a wonderful turn out. Hoping all you photographers will start posting pics! Kitty

I'd like to echo my old friend, Kitty's sentiments - a SUPERLATIVE job by the Committee - let's keep the communications open! It was so good to see everyone after so long. My only regret was being unable to spend "quality" moments with everyone.

Hi Ellen,
After hearing those apathetic, cryptic, scatological answers to your rightly
persistent questions on behalf of SCHS Class of '69, it's about time you
heard some deserved praise. I have never heard a Mistress of
Ceremonies (or a male MC) preside with such grace, wit, and communication
skills as you did on Saturday evening. You were/are FABULOUS !!!

Thank you to the committee, yourself, & Kevin for the gift of my delicious
dinner. Everyone one made me so glad I had come. Keep on keeping on!
Cheers from Virginia O'Hagan Herbert

Just want to join the chorus of voices complimenting all the work the committee did for the reunion. I had a marvelous time with many of my dearest and - there's no other way to put it - oldest friends. Veronica and I were the last to leave the reunion proper, but I understand the party continued upstairs in the rooms. Well, '69ers have ALWAYS been the hardest partiers! -Love to all, and I'll be getting around soon to individual e-mails. Thanks again Ellen, Lori, and Kevin - ya nailed it!

Thanks to the reunion committee! You did it; you made the weekend memorable. Personally, I enjoyed this one more than all the others. Obviously, this website had a great connecting factor. Thanks to all of you.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM ELLEN

I want you to know that you honor me and the committee by attending the reunion. I cannot tell you my amazement and joy, after 10 months of planning, when I got to see your smiling and beautifully aged faces walk into the Foyer for the cocktail reception. I knew each of you without hesitation and with all the communication I have had with each of you over the months, it was just like we picked up where we left off. Whether I ambushed you 2 months at your business, met you for lunch or a drink, or hadn't seen you in 40 years I felt the immediate friendship. All of your wonderful comments about how much you enjoyed seeing old friends and exceeding your expectations of the event warms my heart. My hope and my wish for the reunion came true because of all of you. Thank YOU so very, very much. Just because the reunion has passed doesn't mean you won't hear from me! I am still quite relentless, persistent and tenacious! :-) Love to all, Ellen

I had a blast and so enjoyed seeing so many "old" friends. I know I missed seeing some of those that were there - but I guess I'll hsve to wait until next time - can't wait!!

You ALL deserve to bask in the success of the reunion. A reunion cannot happen unless people really want to be in touch. As one who roamed through many social groups and had friends in most, I valued the fact that we all turned out pretty responsible and reasonably sane.

Let us strive to remain in contact as friends are the gold standard of life's achievements since you really cant take anything else with you.

To affect a life is wonderful ; to touch a life is even better; but to have really loved and been friends in life is the gold standard of living free and happy and with meaning. And may I take a moment to recognize my best friend, Paul Wilcox. His life was short but his love for those he held close was fierce. And I know I will see Paul again when I pass on Because he claimed Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and I bear witness to his confession of faith in so dark a time as the sixties were in some ways.

May God shine His light on your path and may you enjoy the eternal grace of the Creator and eternal life in the Son. And if you want to know more about this ask Kevin, myself, and several others who are your classmates.

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who has been involved with Landmark Education? I just completed the advanced course and am signed up for SELP in January. Life changing stuff!!! Would like to connect with anyone who's been invovled. Barb

Hey, does anybody remember The Ark dance Club in San Carlos where the warehouse buildings are by what used to be Bruener's.
White Rabbit, Donovan , Eagles, Moody Blues, glass saucers filled with colored liquids scloshing around above overhead projectors onyo the ceilings and walls, a surreal visual trip m even without enhancements.
