
MALTBY, Leslie Charters "Les" At age 54 of Sonoma, Ca died September 13, 2004 in Kauai in a swimming accident. Les was born June 21, 1950 in San Carlos, CA to Charters and Ivy Maltby. He graduated from San Carlos High School in 1969. He attended a local Jr. College where he studied Forestry. He left college in 1972 to work at Maltby Electric after his father suffered a stroke. He was employed at Maltby Electric for 32 years. His outgoing and personable style made him a successful sales manager. Les had a passion for living. He loved the outdoors. He was an avid skier, a master scuba diver, loved to hike and fish. He traveled extensively to pursue his interest in diving and underwater photography. He was a member of Alcoholics Anomymous for 15 years. Les was a devoted father, loved his two children; Lauren and Brett. Everyone who knew him loved him for his humor and kindness. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his children Lauren Maltby and Brett Maltby; his mother, Ivy Cardinaux; his sister Jean Maltby; his former spouse, Kristina Maltby and current partner of 10 years, Pam Errandi. Interment at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
