Sheri Lynn Reed Nov. 16, 1951 - Aug. 16, 2015 Resident of Woodland, CA Loving daughter of Russell and Lois Reed, her mother preceding her in death in June 1989. Sister to Lauri (Rob) Realini and Nanci Adams, proud mother of Ariane (LaDonrick) Powell and Arista (Jeremy) Lemos. Sheri was elated to be called "Nana" by her precious and active grandchildren, Myles and Aubrey Lemos and Jayla Sol Powell. Sheri graduated from the former San Carlos High School in June 1969, followed by earning her Nursing Degree from St. Francis in San Francisco in June 1972. Her passion for giving her patients her very best started while still in high school, volunteering at nursing homes on the Peninsula. Sheri's first nursing position began at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, proving to everyone that her chosen career was the right one. Later on her nursing talent brought her to leadership positions at the Blood Banks in Santa Rosa and Millbrae, CA. She had many fond memories of traveling to the local high schools so the younger generation could participate in this important endeavor. Our dearest Sheri will be remembered in so many ways. What stood out the most, besides her love for family, was her commitment to being a staunch supporter of those less fortunate, and always ready to voice her opinion on the issues of the day. May her new found spiritual beliefs lead her on a journey to a serene resting place in a beautiful garden surrounded by her favorite flowers. Sheri's family and friends will not say farewell, but rather choose to fill their hearts with love, appreciation and happy memories of a very gifted lady. A grave site service in her memory will be held at a future date at the St. Helena Cemetery in St. Helena. CA.
