OK, here goes.... My HS boyfriend, Glen, whom I met in Mrs. O'Connell's Drama class in 1965 and later took me to his prom, was from the class of '66. We planned to marry in 1969. My mother broke us up and 30 years later we found one another again. We planned to marry in '69 but got hitched in '99.
After 9 years in ophthalmology in Phoenix, AZ, I spent 30 years as a scheduling contractor first in nuke power at various utilities, to DuPont as a part of a change management team and as a program schedule manager for ALSTOM transportation in NY. Lived in 13 states, mostly on the east and west coasts. I learned to fly at the Santa Maria Airport in CA, piloted my little fishing boat in San Luis Obispo county, CA, have river rafted, been in a hot air balloon and all that's left is a motorcycle! Maybe when I'm 70... I was present at two of my granddaughter's births. I raised my kids, for the most part by myself and carrying my heavy work schedule was stressful at times, but we made it and my son and daughter turned out to be pretty cool folks. Now I'm tired!
Glen and I owned two art galleries and a photography studio in Port Orchard and Bremerton, WA and are both now Semi-retired. We have eight spoiled kitties and live at Long Lake in Port Orchard with a beautiful view and great neighbors. Good things come to those who wait!
