Rebecca Ellen Angeli-Just, watercolor artist, traveler, culinary pro, great friend, and banker, 68, died unexpectedly from complications of Multiple Sclerosis on April 12, 2021, at Kaiser Hospital, Santa Rosa, CA. Becky was born May 23, 1952, in San Francisco, CA, to Louis J. and Marjorie Lois (Heintzelman) Angeli.
Becky graduated from Terra Linda HS, College of Marin, and Saint Mary's College. Becky was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in early adulthood. The disease greatly affected her but did not constrain her life, ambitions, and achievements.
Her parents predeceased Becky. Surviving her are her brothers Michael (Karen) and Henry (Helga). Nieces Lisa Tarrant (Bryan), Melissa Walker (Tim), Michelle Angeli and Heather Reigle, nephew, Robert Angeli (Laurel) and grandnieces and nephews, Isabelle and Hannah Angeli, Scout Tarrant, Harrison Walker, and Maverick Tarrant.
Becky maintained a lifelong association with a close group of friends that got together often. You could not have a better friend than Becky.
Becky faced many adversities and was able to move past these events and lived a meaningful life.
Becky loved to entertain and show off her culinary skills. She was a gifted watercolor artist who painted because it was fun. She also loved to travel, even with her significant MS limitations.
A banker by trade and award winner, she worked for Security Pacific Bank, WestAmerica Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Bank of the West in customer Service, Loans, Branch Manager, and Regional Vice President.
In recent years her MS caused her many problems and eventually forced her to move to assisted living and more supportive care. She was able to maintain much of her independence by using her motorized chair. At her care facility, she was the president of the Book Club and a member of the governing council.
Her family wishes to thank the caregivers at ARBOL Residences, Santa Rosa, CA.
She will be missed by one and all.
The family will announce a celebration of her life at a later date.
Friends can send donations in her name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Dear Becky-I think I knew you since 2nd grade-our friendship drifted from good to bad over the years. But touching base at the 40 reunion was fun. Knowing your struggle with MS is over is a relief. You brought fun & laughter into my life when it was hard. Hope you found peace at the end. Annie

I remember Becky and I walking from Arias/Elena Circle to school at Hoffman in 2nd grade (3rd?) before Don Tim was built. I, too, was glad to see her at the 40th and know her struggle with MS was horrific. Fly with the angels, Becky.

My, My what sad news - MS is no friend but sounds like Becky made it one by diligently carrying forward and forging a life with her talents, ambitions, friends, and interests. May her memory be a blessing - we will miss you. Debbie Dunn Lammers

Becky and I shared a 60 year friendship that started in the 4th grade. She had a positive attitude in living her life the best way she could in her career and relationships that came with all the challenges having MS. She loved to water color paint and I have two very special paintings of her work in my home. Becky also had a passion for gourmet cooking and entertaining and we shared many delicious meals. I'm proud to say I became a better cook by her example. Later in life after retirement, I would visit often to her assisted living facility to visit and share familly stories. She was always happy to share my bringing something good to eat for lunch since she missed home cooked meals. She will be missed but the many memories of her will remain in my heart forever.

What kind and thoughtful memories from fellow TLHS 1970 colleagues. I did not know Becky well during Vallecito or TLHS days. I do remember spending some time together during the 40th reunion! I look forward to 50 + 1 get together. As a physician I cannot agree more with Debbie about Multiple Sclerosis and how Becky faced this diagnosis head on. May she rest in peace...Steve

Echoing some of Katie (Castellucci) Regalia's comments. My friendship with Becky =only= goes back 57 years (to 7th grade at Vallecito). Becky's culinary skills were off-the-charts. She showed patience and determination (smile) when helping others cook. Her entertaining skills were legendary. She was always a gracious host. Thanks to her love of and expertise with watercolor painting and generosity, I have one of her lovely watercolor paintings. It's of irises-I love them. It's displayed in our home. I think of her each time I pass it. She also shared with a few of us notecard copies of her watercolor painting of Heirloom tomatoes. Her beautiful watercolors are forever etched in my memory. The "gang of 5" (I call us the "Terra Linda babes" (Becky, me, Katie McCormick, Terri (Hotzner) Jones and Mary (Cannon) Batie now, sadly, only numbers 4. Memories of Becky, our trips with her and the great times we shared with her are with us all for all time. My memories of Becky are of a warm, caring, determined and accomplished woman who showed great strength and perseverance. I'm glad she went to Italy and also that she went to as many of our Class of '70 reunions as she did. I think going to the reunions was sometimes not physically easy for her but she went. When at the reunions, she had a chance to see so many people and reconnect with them.
