I lost my first tooth to Kathy when we we about 5 years old. We were playing hide and seek at Dora Lange's house after school one day, and we ran into each other trying to hide. That is the only tooth I can remmber losing, so I have always thought about her over the years. Years later in high school we laughed over it.
Kathy was was full of laughter, adventure, and free spirit. She was my true friend. So many of my best memories from Brasil are of times shared with her... Way too many to recount here. She has been gone for many years but never from me.
Thank you for posting the photograph of Kathy. It is a great picture and exactly as I remember her. Kathy and I became acquainted during my first year of teaching (1969-1970) at Graded. She was not only a free spirit but a beautiful person. I was devastated to learn that, while in Colorado, she had died. As noted in my profile, I remember her with love and great fondness.
I was at the u of denver when the accident happened she was such a fun and beautiful person. inside and out all those who knew her at DU were devastated. we grew up together in chacara flora and rode the bus together along with pat dolen. this reunion is bringing back alot of memories some wonderful and some tragic i don,t know what has gotten i to me today as i sit in my office and post comments on the memory page as tears stream down my face and soak the report i was trying to write. way to many people on these pages. steve smith
Kathy was a great friend. We were in the same class ever since our early school days. She was always smiling and a very sweet person. She always had something good to say about you. I have many good memories of her. She is not here with us anymore, but her smile (like the one in this photo) will always be remembered. Saudades de vocĂȘ, Kathy...
