I went to Troy State Univ (Troy, AL) from 1988 to 1990 and then transferred to VA Tech (Blacksburg, VA) and graduated in 1993. I went on to receive my Master's in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth Univ (VCU, NoVA campus). I met my husband, Preston, at VA Tech and we have been married for ten years. We have lived in Northern VA, ever since graduating from VA Tech. We have b/g twins, who turned five in Jan and a 2 yr old daughter. Our kids are so fun but can be a handful (think double trouble)! Our family pet is our ten year old yellow lab! I am currently a stay at home mom during the week and work on the weekends at a level one trauma hospital, Inova Fairfax hospital. I am an on call trauma social worker and have been doing my job since 2000. I respond by page, to any trauma patients, being brought to our hospital. I am responsible for working with the police to identify the patient & then, finding & contacting the patient's family. Once the family arrives to the emergency room, I provide crisis intervention counseling for the family and act as a liason for the family and the physicians. It can be an emotionally draining job because I only see the families of the patients, who are a "code blue" = critically injured, or a "code white" = death. However, I find my job extremely rewarding, by helping others, in a time of crisis. I am also a volunteer for the March of Dimes and every year, I devote much of my energy to raise money for their March for Babies fundraiser. My husband is in sales and works for a CA based software sales company, Support Soft.
I can't wait to visit with everyone at the reunion! :)

I transferred to SHS from Montgomery, Alabama, my junior year (and was quite the "Southern girl" at the time - you had to of loved my Southern accent)! Boy, my life changed as I transitioned to life as a "Florida girl!" Even though I only spent two years with all of you, I have many, wonderful, crazy, memories from SHS! Being a "Scarlette" was quite an adventure my senior year and was a lot of hard work but also lots of fun! Grad night at Disney World was also a blast! I'll never forget all the crazy adventures & party hopping that I did with Whitney Gray and Beth Yearty. We had some GREAT times (especially hitting the beach parties, the clubs in Orlando, and partying at FIT)! Can't wait to party with everyone again! :)
