Jeanette, we both started school at Normandy and, after many adventures and misadventures, we both graduated from the 8th grade in that little three room school. It was you, me, Gazella Bean, Charles Cardin, Tom Goodwin, Judy Goodwin, Sylvia Short, Roger Ensey, Joseph Campbell, Priscilla Frazier, Richard Mallard, Hughie Lee Darnell.......the list is too long and my memory these days is too short. You and I were Sweethearts for about a week in 7th grade.

I remember you and Judy Goodwin giving me "what for" in the gym one day at recess because I didn't play basketball.........

We had so much fun in those days but when we got to CHS we never had a single class together. I remember at our 30th Class Reunion when they were taking photos by grade school groups. You and I were the only two left who came from Normandy and I tried SO HARD to get you to stand with me as Normandy students but you just wouldn't do it. So I stood with YOU as a part of the Shelbyville Mills group instead.

Even so, you were kind enough to give me an auto loan or two at the credit union and we remained friends for all those years. Jeanette (Iris), you left us WAY too soon!!!!!! We will never forget you; we will always remember that sweet smile and your little "I'm up to something" giggle that ALWAYS made us laugh too.........

Rest in Peace my Blessed Friend and Classmate........you are not forgotten!
