Went to U of A after graduation. After my freshman year I went to Mexico to try and get into Med
school. On my Mom's side of the family we have 7 doctors. My Aunt is a professor at the University of Michoacan in Morrelia. I ended up getting into Med School in Morrelia and completed my first year. Of course when you study in another country you must have a student visa that (at that time) you had to renew every 6 mos. Due to a political takeover of the Faculty of Medicine during our 2nd semester of school our classes were cancelled indefinitely. When we finally got back to school we were of course behind schedule for vacations etc.. It was during Christmas break that I met my husband Eric. He was a marine stationed at Ft. Huachuca at a Counter Intelligence School. I went back to U of A to finish course work I needed to complete before finishing Med School. During that year at U of A Eric and I dated and corresponded. Well, I didn't become a Dr. but, I did learn to speak Spanish. Since I ended up marrying that marine we've traveled all over, from a Jacksonville, N.C. to Tucson, Az to Washington D.C. to Okinawa, Japan to Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hi, to Tampa, Fl. and finally back home to Arizona. We've lived here in Tempe the last 11 years. During those years I've either taught or coached competitive gymnastics or I've been busy with my Mary Kay business. I've also managed men's clothing stores. We have 3 cats Mocha we found as a stray and her offspring came soon after. We kept 2: Edgar and Lucy. Danielle took Frank and now that she'll be leaving soon she wants us to take Frank. We also have 2 dogs Red and Sam. Red is the older of the two by 2 or 3 years and he loves to run. Sam is a huge german shepherd who is not very people friendly ( we're trying to change that), but he loves to play ball. I like to stay active. I enjoy climbing mountains and running when I'm not injured. Did my fair share of marathons and 1/2 marathons. The knees our really starting to feel it, so I've layed off the last two years. Lately, Hannah and I are in to Rock Climbing in a gym of course! You know you have to be REALLY STRONG to hang from tiny little ledges. Eric has long since retired from the Marine Corps. He is a Vice President in Strategic Marketing for CLP, a subsidiary of True Blue, a staffing firm. You name it and they probably have a branch that can meet your need. Need construction? They do it. Need a plane engine mechanic, they do that too.
