Hey, y'all, I am so disappointed that I could not get to the reunion as I had been very excited and really looking forward to it. Life happens, I guess. Hopefully, somebody took pictures and will post them at this site or on Facebook! Hopefully, I'll be at the next reunion. And thanks to Pam Pottebaum for all the hard work as well as all those who helped her

I did not attend the reunion. I suppose it would have been interesting to attend it. I just went through the photos of the reunion on Photobucket. There are some people that I can recognize and there are some that I do not recognize. I guess that if you have a face like Ed Agnes', you look about the same no matter how old you are. It is truly amazing how much everybody has changed.
I want to thank Pam for the pictures and the web site. That allowed those of us who did not attend the reunion to see the rest of you.

As some of you are aware, I was in a rollover accident on my way to the reunion. I was extremely fortunate and came out of it with just a scratch on my arm, nothing else. The reason I am writing about this is because I know that the only reason I came out of that accident without a serious injury or a rose next to my name on the reunion website is because I was wearing a seatbelt.
Although wearing a seatbelt is a required by law in most states, I also know that some people don't use them. If you are one of those who don't, please do. If you think you will have some time to react to an accident and prevent injury, I can assure you that I didn't. It was instantaneous. I just remember hearing the crash and then my truck rolling over.
I apologize for using this website for such a serious message, but I know it's one thing to see and hear public service announcements about auto safety, and it's another thing to hear it from someone you know.
I really enjoyed the reunion and I hope to see all of you in the future.

Thomas, your angels were surely with you on the trip into Sioux City. Thankfully, you survived what could have been a terrible tragedy.

We all need to continue safe practices, thanks for the info. See you at the next one.

We have 135 class members signed up on our website so far. That is 38%. Let's see if we can add some more of our friends. If you know someone who has not joined, give them a call and encourage them (or help them) to join. I may know of one case where coersion was involved! Let's raise those numbers!

Just want to add my "Thanks" to Pam and Mary (and anyone else that had anything to do with putting the reunion together) for their tremendous efforts! The reunion was terrific and it was great to see so many classmates. And to whoever had the idea and to all those that worked on the CD, all I can say is WOW! It is terrific! Over 5 hours of tunes from our high school years! Great job to all involved! Looking forward to our 45th!

Does anyone have a photo of the Blessed Sacrament group taken at the reunion? If so, please post it here or photo bucket.

Hey Reggie, you seem to have a good memory re: all the bands that were around in the 60s. What was the name of Bob LaFleur's band? Was Russ Bizzet in that band or a different one? Thanks.

It appears that Larry Carpenter, another one of our classmates, has past away: http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/obituaries/article_4b5e3d81-4b76-5a97-86e2-22d2416cada8.html

I need to confirm that this is actually our classmate. It didn't mention Heelan in the obit. Does anyone out there know for sure?

12/07/09 08:55 AM #77

Kevin Beacom

I know that Larry was at Heelan with us as I had classes with him. I don't know if he graduated with us or not.

On another note, it was great to see everyone at the reunion. I wish there would have been more time/events as I was not able to talk to everyone. I guess that is why we need to have a reunion more often.

I had such a great time seeing everyone at the reunion! So many people were recognizable regardless of the years since high school! Others not so easily recognized. It was so very nice to see all of you. Thanks Pam for all you did. It was a tremendous reunion.

I enjoyed seeing everyone at the reunion...Pam and Mary, you really did a top notch job - thanks!

I wanted to ask...those that remember Mary K. Anderson...I wondered if you could send her a Christmas card. She has had a lot of health issues in the last few years. She still drives, but has a harder time in winter. It meant so much to her that some of us stopped by to see her that Saturday of the reunion. Her address is 721 37th street. SC 51104. She have only one nephew for family, so hearing from a lot of us would really make her happy. We had so many happy times at her house and she really is an honorary member of the great class of '69! Take care and have a Happy Holiday!
