I have a better idea: Why don't we all go back to our 50th BIRTHDAY???   Now, THAT would be a noble idea!!!...  Does anyone have any idea how to do it?....(lol)

just got a message that there might not be a 50th reunion due to lack of positive response...not sure that this is a true representation of the pulse of our class on this matter...best way to make our preferences known? suggestions? this forum? messages to Susan Greenberg and Cheryl McDowell? I certainly would like to have one...autumn of 2017? Berkshires? Longmeadow? I will help

I would be willing to bet more than half the class does not look at classmates. A Facebook group may garner more attention. Classical High School class of 1967, Springfield MA. Add as many people you can. Then when people join they can tell others to join. If people don't have Facebook, their friends can get the word to them. Classmates doesn't work for many anymore. Just my thoughts.

I think Sheila Bewsee is on to something.

can we take a preliminary head count by going on Facebook and searching for "us", our class.

I have time, and assuming my troublesome connectivity issues get solved, would be willing to see who

is there, maybe if a few of us set to that task, we can better find the interest in a 50th reunion.

also, has there been any efforts previously to do similar searches at Linkedin or any of the many online

"communities"/gathering spots?  Could that provide some of the previously missing folks too?

John and Sheila et al...a Facebook Special Group does sound like a good solution...and Facebook as a way to locate class members who have not stumbled onto this site adds to the mix

I agree that some other method of contacting people would be better. But remember there are people (like me) who do NOT want anything to do with Facebook and other social media that just collects intrusive info about us.

Maybe Google has something akin to a robust email site that would work. Yes, Google collects info, but the user has more control over what gets collcted.

I really would like a 50th reunion to happen, but let's come up with a communication method that inclusive without being intrusive. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing former classmates.

Ok. I created a Facebook page.  Classical High School 1967 Spfld, MA

It is an OPEN group right now, so anyone can see it. This way we can have as many people join as possible.  If this becomes a problem, I will change it. Please invite everyone you know from 67. I invited a couple 66 peeps and a 67 Tech friend, figuring they may know some other CHS 67 folks!

Those of you who are doing the planning..... you know have another way to contact folks.

If someone else wants to oversee the site just let me know.

A 50 year reunion sounds good. I go to my college's every 5 years.  It doesn't have to be anything too elaborate. Just a get together would be good. Depends on my health whether I go or not, but I'm sure there are plenty of classmates that would be interested. Facebook is probably the best way to contact people. Too many phone calls as it is (especially telemarketers who ignore the do not call list).

I just joined the Facebook group.   I would love a 50th reunion!

I am not surprised because we are Bulldogs!I am still ambling around inputting data so bear with me and keep me informed.Madeleine Ingram DeVane

Just for general sentiment, moving has separated me from my class book and class ring so if anyone has an expited reliable source so I can possibly get these items I would be so grateful because I really do not want to troll pawn shops. Madeleine Ingram DeVane
