Wassup Ya'll? I see a bunch o' ya are in Floriduh as well. I've been here about 20 years now. Most of it in Odessa, just northwest of Tampa, till I bought my 1st house ever, 2 years ago, in Holiday, near Tarpon Springs. I only see this site occasionally, and had to re-set my password to do this. I'm much more active or rather, overactive on facebook. Great idea,,, I just found it and requested to join. I see John & Larry are the admins. I'm friends with them on fb already, as well as with fellow Floridian Sandy, who's pretty amazing, and Wes now too. I just read thru these. The poem Wes posted by M.B.E. is pretty powerful stuff, and yes I remember you Thalia, and others here, too. As far as fond memories, I was kinda drawing a blank there, till i read Larry's about The Pesky Sarpent & The Challengers. I liked going to dances at the Schine Inn, etc.too, but unfortunately I was pretty blitzed most or all of those times, so memories are a bit hazy. I don't do dat no mo', btw... Anyone who wants to take a chance and send me a friend request on fb, is more than welcome too... Peace out, for now ....

I just now saw my old home-room amigo Arturo's comment about going back to age 50. I'm with you Brothah! :D I did look you up some years ago, when I saw you were in Miami & called once. Spoke to Tu Madre briefly & learned that Sergio is no longer with us on Terra Firma. Sorry to hear that. As it happens, I just had a group of your former countrymen at my house today. They just left. Santiago & crew. Todos Cubanos.Contractors for Duke Energy. Lost my power Fri & Sat. as a result of Hurricane Hermine blowing through. Very nice guys! One of 'em started speaking to me in Russian when he got here and then Italian, just to mess with me lol....

Hi William.  Glad to hear from my old compadre and that you survived the ravages of Hurricane Hermine without cable tv! ... Looking at your recent photograph reminded me of "The Most Interesting Man in the World".... Well, at least the most interesting man in Central Florida!!   Keep up your sense of humor and enjoy that new house!!  Un abrazo!

Can you all think of Classical High Teachers who might still be with us and want to join us for our reunion in May?

You can still catch Cheryl announcing Best Picture Oscar nominations on YouTube.com/Oscars  (toward end of video). Cheryl is President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and remains one of the most down to earth and grounded people I know! The best of the best!

I was taking the train home from Penn Station to Charlottesville, recently, and read an article in the AMTRAK on board magazine that was essentially an interview with Cheryl:

it may be a trick to weed out spam messages, but when I registered for the reunion. the transaction panel said to mail a check to "Roberta Oreinstein" (sic):

So, no I am not a robot and yes I do know the correct spelling of her name

Susan Greenberg (Rose)

Thanks Tom.  I correct my lousy spelling.

Saw the nice picture - which one was Scibelli?

Andy retired as president from STCC and was in a condo on Mulberrry St. Both he and his wife worked at STCC.

Regina probabaly has some association with the Classical building . Contacting the management there might render her contact information. She was at a gathering there last year.

Richard Perry (Perry)

Last I heard, Terry Regina actually lived in the Classical condos.  She was with the Springfield School Department (at least as acting head at one point).  They may have contact information, as well.

Thanks to Shera Cohen I have information concerning all the lovely ladies in this picture. Thanks all for your help.

Shera Cohen

Terry Regina is President of Historic Classical (museum, events, author talks, etc.), a non-profit agency. I am on the board. We meet at Classical Condos. I see Terry often. She doesn't live in the condos (she lives in Springfield though), but I do.  Shera Cohen

I never had her but I remember her from Forest Park Hunior High.  Did she teach at Classical while we were there?

Ronald Jermakian

For the record, I have every Blue and White yearbook from 1959 (when my father Armen started teaching there) till it finally merged with Tech ('86) to become Central High ...

02/17/17 01:10 PM #87

Shera Cohen

Terry Regina: She went to Classical, then worked admin level for the school dept.

Yearbooks: While our little museum does have every yearbook, some are in disrepair, so if anyone would like to donate, the books would be very welcome. Thanks.
