John Ringsmuth

Susan and I were married in May of 1975 in St. Cloud and lived in Waite Park until the railroad closed the W.P. shop and moved our jobs to Lincoln, Nebraska in Feb. of 1986 so we moved and raised our five children here. Two of our children are married, one is engaged, and we have one granddaughter. I've kept myself busy with the house and yard and have built from scratch about 30 unicycles over the years. At least 5 of them were tall ones with a chain drive to the wheel. I like living in Lincoln because the winters are shorter and more mild. When we bought the house here we made sure that it was close enough to the job site so that I could peddle a bike to work and I have done so consistently over the years unless the snow is too deep.

I remember once during our sophomore year when some prank had taken place in one of our classes and this priest, Fr. (I don't remember his name) stepped up to Bob Welle and slapped him across the face a few times. We all sat there in class kind of stunned and then Bob said something to him like "I can take some more".
