55 Year Reunion
Its hard to believe, but in June, it will be 55 years since we graduated from CHS! Our 50th seems like just yesterday and so much has happened and changed around us since then. The biggie, of course, COVID forced big changes. Changes in our society in how we shop, live, work, and meet are vast. Norms are so much different then prior to COVID.
Of course most, if not all of us have entered our retired years. Jobs we held for years also are left behind, or at least very much reduced in most of our situations. We all hope to, or have been taking those "bucket list" trips, or traveling to better winter "digs" if we still live here in Minnesota.
That said, several of us have been meeting and trying to plan something fairly informal for our 55th. We felt there probably should be a chance to enjoy a light menu, yet be quiet enough and away from the public to allow conversation. A bit of entertainment we felt could come after a couple hours. So we have a plan we hope works for many of us.
Upon looking around, we felt The Ultimate in Waite Park would serve us the best for the reunion. So, we have arranged to have the basement there on Saturday September 14th, 5:00 to 7:00. They will set up a taco bar for us. Cost is $12 per person, to cover the food, tip, and any fees for the room. We will collect that fee at as we enter the room. The Ultimate will have a bar in the room to purchase whatever you would like to have for a beverage. Water will be available at no additional charge. At 7, or 7:30, The Ultimate usually has entertainment upstairs if you want to stay for it. So things are flexible. Its... visit and stay as long as you like.
We hope to give a rough count to The Ultimate. If possible, RSVP by Aug 1 to one of us: Mary Steffes 320-248-8598, masteffes@hotmail.com. Shari Wahlin 320-249-5987, shariwahlin@gmail.com. Dan Van Hale 320-282-7448. Tom Kremer 320-293-2163. tdkremer@charter.net.
We hope to see many of you there! A good time of the year to get together for an evening. Summer is pretty well over, fall not quite here, and not leaving the area just yet for the winter. And if you live away and feel like traveling back, the season is not a problem, snow better not be here in September!
