I really didn't know Bill during our high school years. Got to know him when he was bartending at Eagle's Lodge. My parents were members and attended the dances nearly every Saturday night. Dad got Tom to join, so we would go sometimes too. After they were both retired, they cleaned on Saturdays and Sundays and I helped sometimes. Bill was always friendly, funny and really a nice guy.

Bill was one of those guys who could always make me laugh. He had such a quick, dry, wit and sometimes I
never knew that I had been zinged by him until I saw that
sly smile and those eyes of his twinkling. When I found
out Bill was sick I wasted precious time and didn't go
and see him right away, but I had the good sense to finally take some time one Sunday afternoon and went to
see him. What was to be a 10 minute visit turned into a
couple of hours and I cherish that time that he and his
wife shared with me because a week later I got the call
that Bill was gone. I still miss you Wild Bill you were
a great friend.

I didn't know Bill well in high school, but am saddened by his passing. RIP, Bill.

I remember Bill in High School.  We had some classes together mostly in the first couple years. I started thinking of him of what I recall as "hanging out at the wall".  Bill could always be found at the west stairwell wall downstairs in the locker hall.  I don't know why that was the hang out for so many of us.  (Maybe he was there because the girls always came up those steps after gym) He was always a satisfied type of happy.  Didn't speak much but you always knew of his presence.  Quiet but jovial. I am sure he is this day too.

Bill was a fun and funny guy to hang with in school.  Always funny and a pleasure to be around.  You are missed my friend!
