Steve, the saying is, "If you want to run with the big dogs, you have to get off the porch." With the cold, I did get off the porch (and am enjoying the living room) with the two standard poodles.

Dave F. Mayby you can help me. The fish moved the hole I drilled to a place where no fish go. Now what do I do? This isn't first time they did this to me

Steve, you need to "Scale" back your humor. :)

Yah, there was something fishy about that.

Steve for a "fin" I'll tell you where to begin. First a hole has nothing in it!make no bones about it! Dave always pray af for "soul" fish! Just for the halibut.

It is the little things in life. Took the two grandchildren spending the weekend, Ben (5) and Eva (7), to slide down the yard but it wasn't to good for the circle sled; then thought, hey, we should try the neighbors driveway. They went from the top where the neighbor parks his car all the way down and across the culver to his house walk way. The kids had a hoot and their laughter reminded me of my childhood slides. Life is good.

Dave so in other words you have just been "sliding" through life! Hmm nice! Have as much fun as you can as sooner or later we hit the bottom after we have maneuvered through the bumps and jumps in life. Then find we have to climb back up sometimes with the tow line of others. Keep smiling! Kids keep us young!

Bob, is it kids, grandkids, greatgrand kids, or dogs for us at our age? Life is good!

How many classmates are corrected for saying, "sliding" rather than "sledding?" I realized we heard older relatives talking about sliding down the hill on a coal shovel. I rememberr sliding down grandparents hill on their huge frying pan with a rope through the handle. Sliding came first, before the sleds and sledding? Heading up to Lake of the Woods with Church folks to catch the big fish. My first time fishing Lake of the Woods. Blessings!

Steve, sorry you had to work! You would have caught the biggest fish! Lots of snoring... not me though, woke up to their snoring.... and I listened and did not hear me snore.

Dave,
I saw a video Wednesday of a truck going through the ice on Lake of the Woods. You're not missing a truck are you? surprise
Wish I were there, except for hearing all those other guys that were snoring.

Isn't it funny how everyone is different, dogs have their own personality, and people have their own snoring. Some are hilarious to hear... pfff... pfff...pfff. Lets hear your favorite snoring:

Tom, that sounds like a great Valentine's Day. The corny Grandpa joke of the week; Do you know the pirates of the Carabean? In Jamaica $ 7.50 for Apple Pie Rates; 9.50 $ in Cuba. The pie-rates of the Carabean. Tom, have a great Valentine's Day!

Hey Dave! I gave up ice fishing because I couldn't catch enough ice to make a meal and the ones I caught melted on the way home! Besides I can't catch anything in a hole because a hole is empty!
So stay safe on the ice as the only safe ice is in a glass!
Wishing all those with birthdays in March an early HAPPY Birthday!

I'm in North Dakota getting things ready for an ice fishing tournament where next week -25° (plus/minus windchill) is in the forecast, by the rnidd Iof the week I'll be in Gulf Port Mississippi where the forecast is for 75°. Then the week after that I'll be riding my Fat Bike down the Florida beaches where 90° days are in the forecast. It might be a real I'm shock for the body, I may have to bring Dave F. along to fan me if I get too warm. Ya, Dave the Cabana Boy, throwing towels on the hot sand so I don't burn my feet, fresh ice in my beverage... 🤔
