Ok sounds good!

Let's plan to meet on Bald Eagle Lake on Saturday Sept 16th!
I have not been there before - it is in the city of White Bear Lake is that correct?

Is there more than one park on Bald Eagle Lake?

How to identify the particular location where we will meet?

should we plan to meet about noon or ?

Will need to see how many people express an interest...

Jeff & others the park is right off hwy 61 going north on 61 past hwy 96.there is a stop light by a Holiday gas station .
Take a left at the lights (there are signs) then your first left heading back south on the frontage road which takes you right to the park and launch area.
Very easy to get to. I thought we could meet about 1030 go canoeing and kayaking then come back in for lunch and get together with fellow classmates. It would be helpful to know who else might be coming so we know to bring extra canoes/kayaks. Lets take advantage of yet another beautiful day with friends.

Hey Bob thank you so much for the instructions on how to get to the park and launch area!

Great idea of the paddling first at 10:30am, followed by a picnic around noon or so after that 

Bob - do you have an address so we can use a GPS for the launch - Is it 5785  Hugo Road, White Bear Lake, MN 55110?

I will plan to arrive there a little before 10:30am on Saturday Sept. 16th.

I did not get permission from the club to use the four person canoes.

But I plan to bring a couple of canoes with paddles and three lifejackets.

If there is room on my racks I might try bringing a solo canoe as well.

All are welcome to try the canoes out for a leisurely paddle either before or after the picnic.

Hope  there are a few classmates to visit with!

My cell for those with questions or wanting updates is 651-398-7216.

Jeff, it doesn't seem like there is too much interest in others getting together tmwr. So I will go north and help close up the cabin. I had thought there was an interest from others, but that's ok.it was kind if a short notice.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I have something that came up this week and I have to do.

I would enjoy seeing everyone and the picnic. Have a great time all those who attend.

Thanks all for trying to gather with kayaks/ canoes.  I am freshly into a new knee replacement and the flexed position does not work yet.  I really enjoy canoeing/ kayaking, I am in next attempt.  John

Best wishes John on your knee replacement recovery!

And Steve B. I did not see your post until today about getting out for a paddle yesterday – would have liked to have gone out for a paddle but missed the message.

Speedy recovery on the knee John. surprise
Boy, I'm glad I'm still just a kid.

Maybe we can try another water outing in a few weeks when the fall colors start peaking.
I'll put my feet up in the front of the canoe, Steve H can paddle while Dave F plays Neil young on the ukulalee. It sounds like a really good plan to me.

John, praying your leg recovers fast and well! Steve, thanks for reserving a canoe... I have a pontoon boat (It is Sue's boat). That is a lot of work for me. laugh

Jeff, "you need to look at my life, I'm a lot like you were...."  In Iraq a company of Minnesotans came through and were stuck in our place for the weekend. We had a talent show and one of the young soliders played N.Young with his guitar and harmonica. Fun memory. There is more to that story... but no one wants to hear stories from old men. :)sad

09/19/23 12:08 PM #2361

Robert Ayre

Speedy recovery John! Oh go ahead and tell your story Dave since the rest of us don't call ourselves "old". It was too bad there wasn't enough interest in getting together. Maybe another time. I am hoping we have a great turnout for the reunion next fall. Enjoy the start of the beautiful fall colors!
Ok Yvette I will take on the laser tag when your ready!!

Bob, so there was no indication that Steve meant that song from Neil Young? If we're not getting older, than why don't I see people my age anymore? Bob, here's an aging mantra Embrace the time Bob, Embrace the time. yes So, is anyone else on the sight getting older? laugh

Happy Equinox day, everyone!

David Frazer

Steve, happy Viagra day to you! Or is it Methylphenidate day? I've never tried Equinox. Is it a big pill? wink

09/24/23 08:39 PM #2367

Steve Hardy

Uh, Dave,  Equinox is the  time of year when  the  sun's path crosses the equator,  which  happens  in September  (Autumnal Equinox), and in March (Vernal Equinox).  I don't  believe  that  anyone gave a "mojo tonic" such a brand name. 😎

Or maybe  you  are referring to a horse (equine) pill?

09/25/23 12:56 PM #2368

Steven Kaufhold

I thought the Equinox is a Chevy

Oh! Thanks Steve(s) ! I thought it was Equal Knocks! Was waiting for someone to say something derogatory. wink

Hey! Happy October! Hope everyone is enjoying the awesome weather (in Minnesota and Wisconsin). Had to post this so that those out of state'rs know we have a few days that are unbelievable here in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Leaves are half full of fall colors and half still green.
