Jil/Beth I am CRYING laughing at your stories!! Amazing how it comes back to memory...

Do you remember in Middle School how we had study hall in the cafeteria. We'll Knock'em Moss was smiling at me a lot one day and I thought wow okay so I would just grin back. Well, when the bell rang he walked over to me and I thought maybe he is going to ask me to "go" with him or something and he said "Ashley, you have the Biggest whole in the crotch of your pants and I can see your underwear!" As he walks off laughing.....So much for him "liking me." I have more so I thought I would start out small.

I am laughing at you all- these are so funny! I am trying to remember things and I cannot! I guess I have blocked that time out...hmmmm...or more like, I did not have a life? What a loser!

Beth- the surprise party went well. Jack was totally surprised. He came home early and saw one of his friends coming in the front door and thought something had happened! He had no idea!

Ok I will give this a try....Hi Everyone!!

Ashley

That is almost as funny as Teresa and her missing tooth pic. My family gets so mad at me cause once I get on here I start reading all of this funny stuff and just bust out laughing. There are so many memories I will have to think and add one. Can't wait to hear more.

Hey Dave! Hope everything is going as well as it can over there. I just remember when we would sneak in all those good fishin' holes how dangerous you were w/ that rod & reel. We caught some good fish & had some good times.

Sharanda did a great job raising Nico...He is a great young man and it was a joy to be able to coach him in football.

Does anyone know if Mr Arnold still teaches. That dude Had the longest fingers I have ever seen. I got some good nap time in his class.

Hey David
I have not said hi to you yet....but I wanted you to know that I am thinking and praying for you. I'm just ready for you to come home to your family. That makes me sad.

I just went to Stuttgart for the first time since the tornado's and it was really weird. It just doesn't seem the same anymore. I want to know what you think when you get home.

How often do you get to talk to your wife? I know she misses you too.

Hang in there and hopefully we can keep you company and maybe even a little entertained on this site until you get home.

Jason
I do remember Mr. Arnold's fingers....I have no idea where he is now. I remember he would give out the answers to the test the day before. Everyone had a 100% A average in his class. The only one I ever had.

Lauren
Glad you had fun tonight!! Tell Jack I said happy half birthday.

Hey Saranie, if you can find that old car of mine I will pay top dollar for it.

Thanks for the kind words Beth. Email is a great innovation so I get to email my wife almost daily. I also have yahoo messenger and you can get phone service on that. The internet is not very reliable over here but it is getting better. We are 8 hours ahead of ya'll so the time difference makes it a little hard. I usually read what ya'll post when ya'll are sound asleep. I can't imagine what Stuttgart looks like but I am anxious to see it. I was in Dumas during the tornado and I know it was dvestated. It really makes me sad for that to happen to our home town. This web site is great and it is really a neat way to stay in touch with old friend. Thanks again for the kind words and stay in touch.

Hey Saranie and Holt, it would be really cool if ya'll could find that car. Man those were the days. Wouldn't it be great to pull up to the reunion in that thing. Saranie you will probably rember that I was more dangerous with the motorcycle that I was with the fishing pole. Man I sure with I had that thing back too.

Saranie, Sorry we missed your party Saturday, but with a wife that's three weeks away from Lil Jackson, not much partying going on.

Are you having a boy or a girl?

Tricia Orlicek (Brown)

Hey Jason, I remember driving the boat home from somewhere one night. Not sure where we were but I was coming into town from Hwy 79 south. I should not have been driving because I remember being a little scared trying to navigate that right hand turn into town. I don't know where you were but I was the only one in that big car. Either I left everyone or you all left me I'm not sure. I just remember that thing felt like it was bouncing down the highway. Maybe I was driving too fast. Anyway, I am soooo glad I made it back to town in one piece!!

Speaking of Mr. Arnold, didn't Britney Curtis set the carpet on fire or burn it or something in his classroom. I remember a big black spot up at the front of the room. Mr. Arnold's room always seemed backward to me. His desk was behind us. Last I heard he was not teaching anymore. I think we did him in! I remember his upper lip always seemed to be stuck on his teeth and he was always telling someone he was going to send them to Mr. Santucci. We got away with murder in there.

Boy vs. Girl

Who knows, we sure don't. Having lots of fun with the guessing game and making friends mad at the same time.

Won't be long. My guess varies. Leaning on Boy right now.

Aaron- there are very few true surprises in life! Finding out if you are having a son or a daughter is one of them! I will never forget when we had our first child. The doctor had asked the names before the delivery and when she was born he did not say "It's a girl" he said "We have a Grace!" It was something I will never forget. My second one...Henry...long story! He has not stopped causing trouble yet! ha ha Something about you boys! Anyway- good luck! can't wait to hear.

Hey Jill, thanks for the message. Yes the email is a real life saver. There is a terrible dust storm here right now and it makes it miserable. We have another mission coming up in a couple of days so I hope it calms down before then. I hope you and your family are doing well. Thanks again.

Hey Lauren, I am glad you got to suprise Jack. Suprise birthday partys are really good.

27/06/08 11:59 AM #172

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Hey David- yes, it was fun to pull one over on Jack. That does not happen very often.

Hope the storm settles down before your mission. What do you do on your missions? I remember you saying that you do them at night, I just do not remember what you do. BE SAFE!

I think it is so FUN not to know what you are having. I didn't find out on my first one and I loved it. Tell your friends to chill!! Do people still say "chill" these days? I'm trying still be cool and all with my kids!

David
I would love to know more about your missions. Can you tell us stuff or is it "covert"? Like Lauren, I would love to know what you do over there.

I talked to Teresa Davis last night. I told her she definetly needs to get on this forum. She will keep us laughing.

Ashley
I am cracking up at your story with Knock'em. I remember a similiar story with you walking out of Shug's in LR.....do you remember it?

I have found so many great pictures. I can't wait to get them on here. Now that I've figured out the scanner, I learned that it won't scan b/c I don't have ink???? go figure. Now I have to go get a new ink cartridge.

I'm ready for some more embarrasing stories....Sharanda? Jason? Stephen? anybody?

David -

Since email is one of your primary sources of communication...let me know if you need anything. Since you work for ASP, I manage the email server that handles all your mail. I went and looked to see if you needed any additional space or some things changed and you are all good to go.

Lauren and Beth, our mission right now is convoy security patrols. We take these convoys which haul all of the food, fuel, supplies, ammunition, and other materials needed to fight a war on the crappy side of the planet. We are in gun trucks and we just escort these guys from one part of the county to the other, and protect them form the insurgents. We usually drive mostly at night because it is cooler and easier on the men and vehicles. There are worse jobs to have. Right now we just have to worry about road side bombs and a few snipers. All in all I think we are winning. I'm just ready to go home and be with my wife and kids. I had forgotten how hard it was to be away from your family for so long. It is a great sacrifice just being apart for so long. Thanks for asking girls, hope to see you soon

Carolyn, thanks for checking on my email for me. I'm really glad that the State Police continues to let us use our email while we are activated. They are very good to us. The State Police Commission just voted to pay the health insurance for our families for up to two years while we are gone. You just can't beat that. See ya, and thanks again

Beth Carter (Dawson)

OK David
I am really interested in knowing your thoughts on this war. Now I know this is a VERY controversial subject, and I don't want to turn it into an argument or anything .I hope this does not offend anyone.....I don't want to know your own personal opinion or anything...just some general observations. What I want to know is
Are we making progress over there?
Is it better than what the media portrays?
Are these snipers that you are watching out for part of AlQueda?
Will we ever be able to leave Iraq?

I so admire what you do and would love to get first hand knowledge of what is going on over there.

On a lighter note....I LOVE to go garage sale shopping. Do any of you guys? There are some really good ones here in Memphis. I actually HAD a garage sale today and made $150!! I feel rich.

Beth-

I had my first garage sales last month. I made a $175 and used it on my vacation to Florida I took the next week. I didn't realize how many people would come out. I guess the saying is true that someone else's junk is someone else's treasure.
