WHAT A SAD DAY, to hear that the bowling alley has been torn down!!
For years that was the happening place to hang out.
Do you all remember that's where we had our Grad. all night party, free bowling, the pool room, the bar and dance floor and the snack bar where our parents brought in food for us and we partied till the sun came up, and if you left the party no matter what time your parents got a call letting them know you had left the party and was on the streets--I'll have to dig out my photos from that night-I got some GOOD ones.
I remember when Bud & Helen Lutge built that place( they had the ranch below the Mt. Park on the road up to the"Y" camp and sold apples and rented horses to ride)
After college and in between jobs for a while I worked nights at the bowling alley, cleaning and oiling the lanes and repairing the pin setters.
WHAT A SAD DAY--our town is fadding away and all the open land and the orchards are going by the way side that we had free rain to run over, hunt and boon-dock'n around in. All for what, so all those flat landers can come up here and cut up our cozy little valley!!!!
