I have not been on the website for awhile.  Sorry if I've missed a birthday or two.  I'll try to do better.

I see that people continue to update their profiles and that is great.  Thank you so much.

Well, it is official - I'm old!  And my birthday isn't until tomorrow.  I will tell you why I know this.  Yesterday I had someone come to my house for an estimate on a patio cover - not only did I not get a good price (even with my lowest cut blouse on) he included a senior discount without asking!  How did this happen?  I checked, the equipment is still there and still working - so what if it doesn't look as good.  That's no reason to insult a girl!  Needless to say, he didn't get the job!  LOL!

In case I don't get back on the site - best wishes for a good Thanksgiving to all of you.  My motto is - eat dessert first because there is never enough room afterwards.  Take care.

Too funny Donna.....perhaps try a contractor our age (50 something) who can appreciate the finer things in life........but no AARPers!

HO HO HO Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow. Well, let it snow wherever you are - I just like to watch it on TV shows. Those of you who live in snow, could post a picture and try and make us all envious! I've got my holiday slippers on, the cookies baking and most of the gifts are bought. I've been singing all the old Christmas carols - a little off key, but who cares! This time of year I always think about old friends and remember all the good and fun times we had. SOOOO.............

Sending all of you a "sort of Christmas" card via our website - I hope the season is everything you want, you feel blessed and Santa brings you something special. Take care.

Hey THS football fans....in beating Garces last week, THS advances to the Division II finals against San Joaquin Memorial in Fresno Friday nite!

When we played....we were Division IV.  Today THS has about 1300 students (I think)

No way to fit them all on "The Hill"....if there was still a hill.

Found a fun site called PortableNorthPole.TV on the internet.  You can send friends and family personalized messages from Santa.  It's fun.  Try it!

Hope everyone is watching Ryan Mathews play!!  He has been hurt (his ankle) for a few games but they say he is doing very well for a rookie.  They think he will be the next Big One.  Go Chargers.  Don't tell my son I said that.  He is a HUGE Indianapolis Colts fan!!  WHERE IS EVERYBODY ????  All of you need to get on this website and write a note once in a while---so get the lead out!!!!  I love all of you anyway!!!!

Hey Connie, good to see a note from you.  Where have you been?  :)  Just got back from Tehacahapi and everyone was really excited about being football champions!  I don't watch footbal, but my brother, Jim, is a big charger's fan and all he talked about was Ryan this week-end.  He was impressed we all kind of knew him - in a roundabout way!  Will you be having a white Christmas?  Tehachapi had 2 1/2 inches of rain on Saturday!  Way too much water for me - I'm a sun kind of person.  Take care.

I want to wish the Class of 69 a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!  I hope all of you will make it to the big 60th birthday bash next summer.  Where has all the time gone??  How did we get this old this fast??  Oh well, can't change the facts.

Everyone have a wonderful Holiday season with friends and family.

Good Evening from rainy, rainy, Tehachapi..

Hi all, hope this finds everyone tucked in for the night and ready for Christmas week. Tonight, the grandkids, Nash and Harper, and I went to the annual Christmas program at the Apostolic Church (granddaughter Ronneigh is always in the program)....it's always so so sweet that it's become my annual tradition to attend, I just love it.  Ronneigh, however, has for the last two years managed to fall off the stage!! We should have named her Grace--this year she did a little better, she only tripped going UP the stairs (she's already in a cast for a broken foot, so we were hoping she'd stay upright this year!) It was a lovely little program "Christmas around the World" we sang Christmas carols in different languages, were treated to "around the world" treats..and I was presented with a "special" gift - a glittery resin nativity scene (and I don't have one--so it turned out to be just perfect!)

David and I will have dinner one night this week, and then I'm off to my daughter’s in Kingsburg to spend Christmas.  I thought my Christmas shopping was finished and with 8 grandchildren, I was trying to be a little conservative - well really let's just say Scrooge like this year---then 3 year old Xander, with his big beautiful brown eyes gives me that look and says, "Grammy, I asked Santa to bring me some robots this year." Well, I think Santa is struggling a little this year, so off I go to KMart tonight in the pouring rain to look for a "robot".. do you know how many different kinds of robots there are? I can tell you lots --- so armed with advice from Harper and Nash and an overextended credit card, we picked out a noisy, black and yellow scary lookin' robot that lights up and talks - they assured me he will love it.

These kids, whatdya gonna do? - I love them and they always make me smile.  Hope all is well with each of you -

Thank you all for the birthday wishes - I've joined the 59'er club from the '69'er class...

Merry merry Christmas to you all.

Carrie

Merry Christmas from the road!  We are in Indiana on our way to New Jersey and it is snowing and the roads are a mess.  We were in the ice a few days ago, in TN, now that was a blast!  I (Nancy) was driving and wow, slip sliding away.  .But I managed to keep the 'rubber side down' as they say.  Carrie, I know what you mean about those grandkids.  It's so hard not to buy everything they want.  I know I keep getting the 'eye' from Tim, but how can you say no?  We went shopping at Cowboy Christmas in Vegas so needless to say cowboy boots made it under the tree this year for a couple of little boys.  A 'Cowgir angel' vest too, for an absolutely rotten but loveable 3 yr old.  We will be working this holiday, but we wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone and a Blessed New Year!!

So sorry to hear about Marianne.  What a couple of impressive son's she raised.  Sounds like they took good care of their mother to the end.

I remember her very fondly and wish her family the very best.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.  I'd say "y'all" if you were here in Texas.  I'm sad to hear about Marianne's passing.  Life is a treasure--live it up!   Looking forward to the 60s birthday party.  I'll be coming just to see what people your age look like ;^).  If any of you know about a chemical engineering job, our youngest graduates this May (3.95).  Here's a video link about her trip to Malawi last summer, that will introduce you to her a bit (warning--religious content):   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wejNAHiZ2qg.  All the best and God's blessings in 2011.

Happy New Year's everyone!  I am so sorry to hear about Sid and the Freitags.  Will keep their families in my prayers.

I am looking forward to a calmer 2011!  In 2010, I spent several weeks with my youngest daughter who was pregnant with #3, gets very sick during pregnancy, had gestational diabetes and tried to have little Miss Brynley 7or 8 weeks early. She managed to hang on two more weeks but Brynley managed to swallow amniotic fluid and was in the NICU for 8 days.  She is doing well now, a tiny little peanut but she is thriving.

In between my stays in NLV, I spent as much time with my Mom and Dad as possible.  I was with them when my Dad died on August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption...a perfect day if you have to lose someone.   It was a hard time for all of us but in our hearts we all know, Dad was ready to go home.  The rest of the year had hard times but for the most part we are all doing great.

Hope you are all well, hugs!  Kathy

I am so saddened about the death of Sid.  She was a very intelligent and kind human being.  I send my deepest sympathy to her sons and her little grandson.

My sister, Phyllis, just informed me about the murders of Beverly(Beaver) Freitag and her sister Kathy. I guess there is never a explanation of why these things happen to good people.  They had such a great close-knit family and they were loved dearly and will be missed terribly.  My deepest sympathy goes out to their younger sister, Debbie, as she is now the last of the original family.  I also send sympathy to the families of these ladies.

Check out this website if you haven't already seen it - great music (especially when they sing my namesake song) and a little reminiscing of our early years.

Kathy, you will be missed!  I was hoping you would be able to come since we didn't see you last summer.  :(  Oh well, I know you will have fun with those grandkids - even if they do tend to wear us out!  Take care.
