All dressed up for the meeting. They were celebrating completion of a church building. People from several different communities come to share in the work, including the bolillos.

The people of Barco sent us home warmly. Very small, primitive, with a small boat the only access across the river. The first language is Nahuatl, but most also speak Spanish.

This is a witch on the main square in Havana. I think she likes me. Of course she was pissed that I didn't give her a dollar for the picture and kiss. Maybe she cursed me after I left.

horse drawn taxi in Cuba, Santa Clara maybe? The sign says 'solo Cristo salva.' It's owned by a member of an undergroud church there. They have an amazing vitality and community.

This is Hemmingway's hang out in Havana. He had Mohitos at one place, and something else at another. Google the quote, I'm too lazy.

The day of a pour in the Huastecas, MX. Notice the table of freshly plucked chickens in the background as the cement is mixing full speed. Great dinner!! I think the town was Taxicho.

Yours truly standing on the hand made (with machetes) ramp used to carry the buckets of cement to pour on the roof. When I saw them building it I said I'd never carry cement up it. We were on it 6 and 7 at a time!
