Merry Christmas, all

Hope this message finds everyone well. My husband and I will be heading to Central California from our home on the Southern Oregon Coast mid-week to spend Christmas with our children and grandchildren (and great-grandchildren). Three kids, ten grandchildren, two greats and another due the day after Christmas.

One child in Fresno, on in Hanford, and one in Bakersfield, so we'll be seeing a lot of the ol' 99. Seems like we always go back and forth a few times on our trips down.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Claudia

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Phil, when you meet someone who doesn't need peace please have them call me. I need their secret. Mortality stinks. But there is a lot of beauty and fun to be had on the way. All the best!  Blessings and love. PS I recommend The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  It's a fun read. Mike

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Class of 1969!

We are hoping everyone is well and healthy and looking forward to the future!  I've been reading the comments being made and hope all the family members who were needing prayers are better, healing or just doing better.  This year has been pretty uneventful except for the grandkids getting bigger and harder to shop for.  Our kids are getting older and I don't really know how that has happened since we haven't aged............well not much........ok when I look in the mirror, I just don't recognize the face anymore!!! HA!  The last two months have been a whirlwind though.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer after my regular mammogram in October.  I had a biopsy on Oct 26, and a lumpectomy on November 8, a SAVI Pen inserted into the site they had removed and radiation for 5 days twice a day.  I never got sick or felt bad except from the pain of surgery and having a foreign device inserted in me for 11 days.  BUT....I am doing fine.  I feel great and have healed very well.  I go back to work on Jan.2, 2017.  Tim stayed home with me through all the doctors visits and surgeries.  Heidi flew back during the week I had to go to Springfield twice a day for the 5 days of radiation and Tim returned to work driving with another partner until I go back to work.  So I feel truly blessed since it was caught extremely early and the lymph nodes they removed had no cancer in them.   So the way I look at it, I had a touch of cancer and I'm all better now!!!! Thanks to Gods mercy.

Tim and I will be retiring from driving next Nov. when he turns 66.  We still have the farm and 50 mama cows, a couple of bulls,

and a bunch of babies!!  All of our kids are doing good, we have 8 grandchildren ranging from 3 yrs to 14 yrs and they are our delight!  We wish a healthy and Blessed New Year to each and everyone of you and your families.

Hi all,

Yes, this 'baby' turned 65-- I, too, have one of those red, white, and blue cards from the government to prove it!.  I retired from State of California in May and moved to Kingsburg.  I live in the same town as four of my eleven grandchildren - it's their turn to put up with me now!  The others are in Tehachapi, Bakersfield, and Elk Grove, so I keep Hwy 99 busy.

After retirement, I worked at the IRS in Fresno for a seasonal job, and will try to do that again this tax season.  Odd job - data input - I'm supposed to work fast and accurately, but I confess I get sidetracked and am curious about the people whose tax returns I process.  Funny little window into people's lives.....we all seem so alike with these bits of info.

I hope this year brings peace and joy to each of you..I read something today....of being openly grateful and showing kindness and patience.  I think I can be a little crotchety sometimes, so it's a nice reminder.

I am grateful to each of you!  What a wonderful bunch of folks!! Thank you!!

Hi Eleazar,

Always good to hear from our classmates.  Yes, it is a part of life that we are losing some of our friends, and

thus our past.  It is soooo important to keep up our health, as much as we can do anyway.  Accidents and illnesses cannot always be avoided.

Alison and I will return to the U.S. in early April, take care of some business, then we go off to France.  We purchased a 300 year old building for next to nothing since it is so run down and will spend a good part of the summer trying to get it in living condition again.  Anyone cares to come work, please let us know!

Well, I hope 2017 is treating you all well.  Best of luck.

Phil
