Thank you David, Phil, Kathy, Connie and Ann for the birthday greetings.  Yes, Ann, I did get to ski in Colorado for 5 days to celebrate my birthday.   I hope to continue skiing until I am 90!  Best wishes to all!

Wow Ann, still skiing.  I gave that up awhile ago, it hurt too much when I fell.  Well, I didn't fall on skis, my boys wanted me to snowboard.  I could do it, but falling was the pits.  Good for you, keep it up.  Phil

That’s great Ann, I have never been a skier, don’t like to be cold, don’t have much coordination and the list goes on!

If I have missed any birthdays, I apologize.  It is fun to read everyone’s posts, keep it up please.

We just returned from Ohio, visiting our youngest daughter and her family.  Weather was a awful, hugs and kisses were great.  Picture to follow

Howdy to All and Happy B'day to those May & June Celebrators!! Hope you had or will have wonderful B'days! This is the time of year for graduations & Harry & I had two this year. We did drive out to see our G'daughter graduate June 1st in northern CA (Fortuna) then rush back to see another G'daughter graduate June 7th in San Antonio. A long trip but were able to see family in the Sacramento area while there. Hope all of you out there are doing well, staying healthy, happy & cool in the warmer weather! May we all get together next year and celebrate our 50th!! See you then.  Ann

Thanks, Phil, for the B'day greeting! As always, Harry did a great job making me very happy. The best part of my B'day is hearing from our kids, family & great friends! Makes it all good. Thanks, again!  Ann

Hi Everybody!

Just came from the Oldtimers Picnic. So many familiar faces. Saw Nancy and Tim Garrett. What a treat! Love them both so much. I know there is a question about the best time for our 50th reunion. Since hotels are generally full on Festival week-end, it might be better to have it on Oldtimers Picnic week-end.  Also, Kelcy's will be reopening their doors again beginning Festival week-end this year.  We might be able to work something out with the new owners for breakfast again.

Phil's class reunion was great. Lots of people came and it was so good to see everyone again. Getting excited for ours.

Becky it was so good to see you and Phil. You two look great.  We had such a great time but unfortunately did not get to see everyone.  We are excited to see everyone at our 50th reunion next summer.

Hi Everyone....I have been checking out the votes so far for the 50th reunion next summer.  It looks like classmates are leaning towards the Festival, instead of the picnic.  Having been to both in the last few years, I think the Old Timers Picnic creates the least amount of hassle.  The Festival has been very successful as far as crowds go but that in itself creates problems.  Walking through the park during the festival, I only ran into a couple of people I knew.  I don't know where all these people come from.  The picnic gets a different kind of crowd....our older friends and our younger friends from Tehachapi.  Long story short, it has a more intimate feeling than the VERY crowded Festival.  The hotel and motel availability are another problem during the festival.  Lots of us, now, don't have anyone left there to stay with.  This is just my opinion on witnessing both sides.  I would rather see my friends on a smaller scale.  I will go with the majority of what the others want.  Give it some thought before you make your decision.  I am just one person and we want what's best for all.  Love you all and can't wait for the reunion to see all of you again.....10 tears was TOO LONG to wait.  Wish I lived closer and could help more with the work and planning.  See all of you in 12 months.....still sounds like a LONG time!!!!!   Connie

Connie, you are right, the Old timers picnic probably is the best idea.

Two years ago, Tim and I came out for the festival thinking we would see a lot of people.  We are glad we did because we saw Miriam and Monty And they both passed away not long afterwards.  Someone told us we should have come to the old timers picnic since that’s where we would have seen everyone.  We just got home from attending the old timers picnic and agree that would probably be the best time for our reunion.  The class of 1968 had their 50th reunion the night before the picnic and had a big turnout, as you can see from the picture.  So that’s my two cents worth!  See you all next year, lord willing.  Very excited to see you all next year!!

I think in conjunction with the Old Timers event (which will be weekend of August 3-4, 2019) is a great idea for all the reasons stated. Does anyone have a big conflict with that?

Bonjour Michael,  have a wonderful 67th birthday.  I hope all is well with you and your family--let us know.  Phil

Hi everyone,

Has there been a decision about the 50th reunion date?

I have to make flight reservations from France and I need to know the dates as soon as possible.  If anyone knows please let me know.  Thanks bunches,  Phil

FYI, I have contacted the five people from the survey who said they would serve on Planning Committee (including Phil). Hope to hear from them soon and set a date so everyone can begin to plan.

Hi Claudia,  I am pretty sure that I won't be able to make it to Tehachapi that early.  However, I will do whatever I can to help organize.  I will be in Tehachapi in about 3 weeks if you would like to meet, or I will do all possible by phone and email.  Let me know.  Thanks, Phil
