42 Year Reunion

Our planning group which consists of Marj, Karen, Bill, Milo and Gordon, met on November 24, 2009 to do some initial planning for our class reunion. From feedback we heard from other reunions it seems that people want an event where they can simply visit and reconnect. On this basis we planned an afternoon/evening event to be held on Saturday June 26, 2010. We are anticipating attendance of 75 people.
The main event will be held at the Lindbrook Community Hall. Although the Hall is somewhat dated, we think it will adequately suit our needs. Directions to the Hall are:
- east of Edmonton on Hwy 14 to Range Road 200
- north 2.1 km toward Lindbrook Store
- look for ball diamond and Hall on west side of road
For those who would like to camp, the Lindbrook Star Gazer Campground and RV Park is close and available at a cost of $35/night. The campground is immediately east of the Lindbrook Store and only about 1 km from the Lindbrook Hall. Please call Deena at 780 662-4439 or go to www.lindbrookstargazer.ca for more information.
Here is what we think the day will look like:
12:00 noon meet at the Tofield School at the north door next to the parking lot, for a school tour
1:30 PM registration and visiting begin at Lindbrook Hall. The caterer will provide hot and cold drinks as well as snacks
3:00 PM form a circle for very brief introductions. Do a low key mixer centered around a trivia game
5:00 PM "choir practice" - the yearbook lists "choir" as a favorite activity of many people so we thought we'd practice a few songs for table grace. Anyone interested in singing is welcome
6:00 PM catered hot meal
7:00 PM short program
8:30 PM camp fire
10:30 PM event ends so hall can be cleaned up
