Jackie McKethen
Well, unfortunately, I lost my election for Crete Township Trustee, but that does not mean I won't try again. This is a predominately Republican area and none of our slate of 6 won. Sadly the Township Board remains 100% Republican. I was hoping we could get more representation for women, minorities, immigrans and marganilized citizens. I would like to see a more equal representation, as well as checks and balances in the Board. I don't favor ONE PARTY Government.
Also, for anyone interested, My CAN TV show for the LGBTQIA community, or anyone wanting to learn more about our community, will return to the airways May 14th at 6:00pm (CST). It is on channel 21 in Chicago: however, outside of Chicago the show can be seen by going to: cantv.org at 6:00pm (CST) ( which will automatically take you to "You Tube" )....then look for the LGBT Show, and I will magically appear on your screen. I won't have guests right away, but when the Covid pandemic is over, then guests will start to being allowed. I hope some of you will tune with this important look into the LGBT community.
I have posted some information about my LGBT Scholarship Fund on the Facebook page for "Topeka High School Alumni" for donations to Governors State University College of Arts and Science in University Park Illinois. Donations are accepted on my Face book page, or you can go to: www.govstedu/donate Please make sure you indicate the donation ( regardless of anount ) should go to: Jackie McKethen LGBTQIA Scholarship Fund ( otherwise the Foundation will use for their Christmas Party ). You can call 708-235-7559. If you want a brochure/flyer, send me your email at: mckethinc@aol.com, and I will email you the information.
