I got to play in a wind quintet with Steve at PVHS. He was definitely the most mature member of our group, especially compared to Jim Cecil and me! He was patient, smart, and funny.

Hi Ernie. I still remember being impressed with your clarinet playing when we were in 8th grade at Fickett. I switched to bassoon that year, mostly because I knew I would never be first chair with you around, and I have made my living with it ever since. My son is also a musician, and I have played several times with one of Mr. Brubaker's sons.
