The Rincon Ranger Foundation (https://rinconfoundation.org/), founded in 2010, provides scholarships for Rincon seniors, needed supplies for Rincon teachers, and honors Ranger alumni, as well as faculty and staff. It is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible. The Foundation is proud to have raised $200,000 since its inception.
- Fundraisers:
- 3rd weekend in May - a golf event at Forty Niner Country Club (golf, lunch, prizes)
- 1st Sat in November - "Hall of Fame" breakfast at Tucson Country Club, honoring three teachers, staff, and/or alumni. Guests also include the student scholarship recipients.
- Scholarships are 6-8 per year to fund Rincon students in pursuit of a college and/or trade school education. Two scholarships are for $1500 each (Millie McEvoy Scholarship and Grijalva Family Scholarship), and the remaining are for $1000 each.
- Grants of $750 are available to teachers for supplies, projects, etc that are not reimbursable.
There will be paperwork for donations "In Memory Of..."/ "In Honor Of..."/ or, "Just Because It Matters" both nights of the reunion. Look for the display table with this information.
The Foundation needs your support and thanks you in advance for your generosity!
