I don't have any kids, but I do have a car that is eating up my life savings! It's the GTO Judge I got my Senior year. No, it was not the only graduation gift from my parents, they also gave me a payment book too! My first real world lesson in economics! You know, that stuff you suppose to be learning in school. Nothing like the real thing. Over the years, as I bought a new vehicle, it would be parked out in the weather, while my car stayed under my carport. That saved a lot of wear and tear, but it needed a little TLC. Having it restored was always on my mind, but knew it would be expensive to do the right way. Not just a cosmetic paint job, but a full resto was in order. So, in August of 2012, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer only after having some skin cancer removed in the spring. Kind of makes you rethink your priorities. I sold my stock I had in Weatherall Printing and decided to do the things I've always planned, but never got around to. Restoring my car was one of them, so I'm doing it! Hoping to debut in Blue Suede Cruise this May, 2013. Come take a look! ...Today is 11-5-13. Well, I didn't get my car ready for Blue Suede Cruse, so decided since it was so close to being finished, I would take over the restoration and finish it myself. Mainly to save some money!!!! I shouldn't have done that. I worked on it a little while and the weather got warm. Camping and going to the lake went to the top of the to do list. I'll add some pictures and video of my fun in the sun. One photo is an American Bald Eagle! That was the second time I had spotted it. Keep my camera ready for the next sighting and hope to get a better shot. Working on some house projects and getting ready to resume working on my car to get it ready for Blue Suede Cruse 2014. Good news on all my PSA test since my surgery. They have been excellent, so, I'm cancer free. The Judge will be ready and will be in the Blue Suede Crusie. Was concerned about it being cancelled because of the tornado, but the Cruise will go on. So, if you see a white 1970 Judge crusing around town this weekend, it will probably be me.

I'll always remember the trip our baseball team made to Atlanta to see the Braves play in the spring of 1970. I don't know how, but I convinced Coach Chiles to take my new car on the trip! Only condition was he had to be the driver! That was O.K. I was just excited going in my new car. I'm sure that was the first long trip I made in it. I don't remember who rode with us! If you got to ride in my car with us, please jog my memory. That was an awful long time ago.
