Comments:

I have many good thoughts and memories of growing up in UC. It was a pretty good place to be from heading into the "real world".

What are your memories of high school (i.e., secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hangout, favorite teacher(s)?

Good job on the water tower, Wendell. Good choice on the secret crush too.

One night I camped out at Rex Spoorš, if you remember the green International pickup I drove, it was parked in front of Rexš over night. In the morning when we got to the house, the windshield had been covered with grease, the message written was the "56 (Rex's beautiful green Ford) is next". Rex was livid, not about my truck but the threat to his car.

Where else have you lived?

San Vito de Normandi, Italy and Misawa, Japan (Air Force). Ypsilanti and Marquette, (college). Boulder, Colo and Cocoa, Fla and Union City area (while trying to figure out work, college, life in general); all while trying to grow up (which I still struggle with) and Kalamazoo the past 25 years.

What is the most unusual job you've ever had?

Working overnights in a home with 6 mentally impaired men. (it was suppose to be an quiet job where I could work on getting my Master's-it wasn't and I didn't. But it was never, ever a boring or routine job. The oldest resident was almost 20 years older than me and he usually woke up saying "Dad, Dad, coffee".

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

More travel, Austrailia, Africa, Alaska and Europe

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spend time with my wife, travel, golf, fish and work around the house.

What would classmates be surprised to know about you?

I used to try being a jokester, now I try to be more serious, thoughtful and I still make some stupid mistakes. Hopefully I've learned to say I'm sorry today.

How/where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Retired and spending time traveling and visiting friends and family. I would like to catch up with some old classmates too.

What is your best story or memory of Fabiano's (Tony's)?

It was a place where you could go with little money and spend time hanging with friends, learn all the latest gossip (some true, some maybe not). I think the last time I was there was just before I went in the Air Force (1970), I had been away at school at Eastern Mich. I could always stop and catch up with the local news and always felt like I was "back home".

What is the farthest you've ever been from home?

Northern and Southern Japan. I would like to spend some time living in there as a civilian.
