Hi Ram,
Thanks. That'd be great if you could keep tabs on the number of golfers and perhaps someone (Chuck or Gord?) could assist you with the details closer to the date. Weren't you all on the Senior Golf Team way back???
Let's get Webmaster G to post a notice about the golf game and include your e-mail address. I'll leave the rest in your capable hands.

Dear Fellow Grad's,
I saw the annoucement on the home page regarding having a DJ work our reunion. I made one call to get a general idea of how much a DJ would be for the evening which amounts to $650. Now it seems to me that be between all the Grad's that we certainly can afford to hire one. What is that going to work out to $5-$6 per person (if we have 100 attendee's)?
I know we are in a recession but I think we should kick it out!
Anyone else's thought?

I agree, I'll pitch in & pay a pro to run the show. It's either that or we organize a rotation of grads to do the dj work, and that could end up in chaos.

Wondering what to do with spouse in a reunion situation? Do you bring one with you or don't? What do you think or are going to do.

Melinda, I would definitely bring your spouse if they can come. It gives them some idea of your past and your friends that you had in school, it helps put a face to people you might refer to concerning your school years, and there's no limit to the number of people who just might know eacch other. My wife's looking forward to attending & meeting my classmates, I'm grateful she's coming...

I agree that all spouses are welcome !!!!!!
The more the merrier.
However, we need to have people start by paying their fee. So far, we have only received a few cheques. We need $$ to hold onto our booking at the Arbutus club.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

REMEMBER TO START PAYING !!!!!!!

Hey Linda, you found me...I was just looking for you on the other list but it's so distracting to read all these familiar names. Takes me right back to Mr. Hammer's Art classes, I'd jump at every name he blared out during roll call ! Yea the check is in the mail...It better be and yes in turn I will pay for passage to partake in the soiree

Yes, thanks very much Gord for setting this site up! It's really neat to see how everyone is doing after all these years. I can't make it though! We are going to be in Victoria July 2-5 for our son's Provincial Champs (swimming). Wishing everyone a wonderful time at the reunion!

Just out of curiousity....I am wondering if most of you are bringing your spouses, or not? My husband would gladly attend, but I don't want him to be the only one. It's going to be confusing enough just trying to figure out who is who from our grad class!
Please let me know what most of you are doing-
Thanks, Heidi

Dear Fellow Golfers,
Due to the lack of response for the golf tournament we are cancelling the event.
If anyone is still interested in playing I did keep a couple of tee times at Fraservierw.

Hi Ram and fellow golfers
I have some excellent golf prizes for you if you want to revive your tournament. I have golf bags, umbrellas, Nike wearables, golf shirts, balls, hats, jackets... tons of other good stuff; I'll look thru my office. Every player will get a prize.

Hey Heidi. Tammy, my wife, came to the last reunion and she didn't have a boring time. She can't make it this year because she will be in Winnipeg.

I'm in for a Friday July 3rd golf get together at Fraserview.

Heidi, I'm bringing my wife, I know others are bringing their spouses, and I think the more the merrier. If nothing else, it gives them a chance to put faces to names.

hi everyone,
enjoyed reading thru all the posts up to this date. i am not bringing my husband. he's gotta stay home and take care of the kids so i can come to the 30th Hamber reunion. can't wait to see everyone. thanks to everyone involved with organizing this event.

06/08/09 04:56 PM #33

Dear Ed & fellow golfers,
I did save 8 tee times at Fraserview at 9:30am. I think we should blow off any type of tournament format and just have the first 8 people who will committ to play send me an e-mail. If we get a bigger response, I know I can get some more tee times.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Just a reminder to anyone who is wanting to attend our pre-party at the Fairmont, please confirm right away....interest has been lacking up until this point and we need to make a decision whether we should cancel it.
