What have you been up to since Magee?

I have taught in Vancouver since 1968, some twenty of those years at Magee, from 1976-1996. I have also taught at Prince of Wales, Templeton and Point Grey. I taught principally French, Social Studies and History over a thirty-five year period. I retired from teaching in 2003. I have sponsored basketball teams at the schools where I taught and am still doing so. I also have coached track and field since 1970 and am still doing so at Point Grey, the last school at which I taught. I now do private tutoring, mainly in French, with some Social Studies and History as well. I attended the twenty-year reunion of the class of 1963 and look forward to seeing classmates at the 50th reunion!

I am very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I did not know him well, but I remember Paul as a very nice, personable classmate.

I am very sorry very sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I did not know her well but I feel badly that she could not have had more time to enjoy her retirement. My condolences to her family and friends.

Hi, Sandi. Congratulations on your recent retirement! It sounds as though you are enjoying yourself. I retired from high school teaching in 2003 and have been doing private tutoring since that time. I returned to Magee in 1976 as Head of the Modern Languages Department and taught French there for twenty years. I hope you and your family will continue to enjoy good times. All the best!
