I totally agree with Gwen!!! What happens at the Wood, stays at the Wood!!! I had a blast. I couldn't hardly walk Saturday from all the dancing we did Friday night! Or maybe it was because my knees hurt from sliding across the dance floor!! I want to tell everyone that I had a great time. From Friday night to Sunday morning at the Memorial. My only regret is missing Saturday night.
You don't know how bad I wanted to be there. Sooo many people told me to call in sick! I thought about it, but I'm afraid my conscience wouldn't let me do it! One thing is for sure, I won't miss a minute of our next one!
I enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up. I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. For those who pitched in and bought the planning committee a day at the spa for manicures and pedicures, I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. It means a lot to me that you appreciated all the hard work we put into planning the reunion. Thanks again and I can't wait to see everyone at the 25th reunion!!

A heartfelt thank you to those who planned this reunion. The time and effort that you put into making this a memorable weekend really paid off. I hope that everyone had as good a time as I did. It was so nice to see everyone and to meet spouses/partners and children.

This website has been great. I've had a blast reading everyone's stories and looking at recent pictures of friends, kids, animals, etc. Please keep them coming, and count me in for 25!

I am so disappointed that I wasn't able to attend. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone & catching up. We just got too busy w/work last week & couldn't get away. I really hate that work just gets in the way of a good party- it sounds like everyone had a lot of fun! I will definitely make the 25th! Please keep posting photos & updates! Take care & thankyou to the planning committee- please do a 25th!

Great Job to everyone that planned and/or came to the reunion. It was a great time and I enjoyed seeing everyone. Gwen, If you worked at a real hospital then you could learn to dance better than that.

Oh My Gosh! What an awesome 20th Class Reunion. I enjoyed seeing all those faces that I haven't seen since 1988. It was really great. It was all that I thought it would be but even more. The planning committee went above and beyond. Great job planning committee. I can't wait until the 25th.

You guys are great! Thanks so much for making the reunion fabulous! It doesn't matter how much planning goes into and event if no one comes - and we are so glad you did. It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces, talking and laughing with each other. I have to say we all turned out pretty well. I hated missing Saturday night - heard you guys had a blast. To all you guys who contributed to the gifts for the planning committee, thank you. We truly appreciate your generosity.

I challenge everyone to continue to use this website as a source of keeping in touch. Encourage other classmates who have not yet joined the site to log in and update their profiles. It has been really fun seeing how everyone has changed and what all we have been doing over the last 20 years. Please remember to keep your contact information up to date so we can find you in another 4 years when we start planning for the 25th reunion.

I will send you all an email when the website software has been update and you all can post pictures to a common page. In the meantime, if you have pictures of the reunion that you want to post to the page, send them to me via email at wchsclassof1988@bellsouth.net or put them on a CD and mail them to 12 Spy Glass Lane, Vicksburg, MS 39813, and I will upload them for you.

Again, thanks so much for a memorable weekend. You guys are great! Let's keep in touch.

Laura

Ha Ha Wayne!! I had fun and that is all that counts.
Right? Maybe I will get some dance lessons before the
25th. Oh, and I had brand new shoes on also. If I think of any more excuses, I'll let you know. It was great to see you.

Clearly, I missed a super good time this week end at the reunion. I just hate thinking that I missed a good party! Oh well....maybe next time.
By the way, does anyone remember how many people were in our graduating class? I know this year's graduating class at the high school where I teach was 121 and that's high for a county school in my district! Seems like a small group to me.
I continue to enjoy hearing from everyone on this site and I LOVE all of the great pictures that are shared. Have a fabulous summer! Mary Hill

Tanis...I forgot about the washboard!!!!! That was hilarious.
Yes, I had on new shoes and no bra remember? For those that are wondering, you had to be there. It is not as bad as it sounds. Give me a call when ya'll get ready to go out over this way. I do something every Fri and Sat night now. Babysitters are killing me!!Tell Krista
for ya'll to come over.

I didn't know about the no bra part!!! That is too funny! My Mike isn't much of a partier, but maybe I could talk him into atleast meeting up once and going out with yall. I'll tell Krista to keep in touch. Have a great weekend!!

How Surreal it was to see those familiar faces together again after all of these years. I enjoyed seeing all of you and catching up. Couldn't help spiralling into a whirlwind of old memories previously locked up in a dusty old box.

Please feel free to drop me a line anytime. Also, I am creating a site so that you can personally log on and post your pictures in their full glory which will allow others to download. If anyone wishes to update some photos.. new or old, please forward your e-mail address so that I can send you an invite link. I hope to have my photos of the reunion picnic posted by Monday.

Thanks again to everyone for coming out and making this gathering a fun and nostalgic event. To the planners, you guys did a lovely job and I appreciate all of your efforts. Of course, to those that could not make it, well you were definitely missed and we hope to see you for the 25th reunion.

Thanks so much to Laura and Tanis and the other committee members for what I am sure was a major commitment. The reunion was great! Very well planned and very much appreciated! See ya'll in 5, if not before.

Tom & I only went to the Saturday night event. We had a great time. After hearing about Friday night I wish we had gone to that also. We went to beechwood Sat. hoping for a repeat of Friday night. Well, we were the only ones there from the reunion. I guess it does show ya'll are getting old. You Friday night folks couldn't hang 2 nights in a row. That's ok, we'll let you slide. Thank you to all members of the planning committee for a great evening. What I took away from this reunion was that even though there were not many people there that I actually hung out with in high school the people that did attend really seemed interested in catching up. Most days I don't feel 37 years old, but the reunion just reminded me that with maturity comes an acceptance of who you are now compared with who you were then. I'm glad that I didn't run into any mean girls. (ha-ha) Looking forward to 25.

I am so sad that I missed my 20th class reunion with all of you all. I heard you guys had a fanstatic time. If it wasn't for my school schedule I definately would have been there. I heard the planning committee did a wonderful job on planning this big event, so I say hats off to the committee for a job well done. I am looking forward to being at the 25th class reunion, I already have it marked on the calendar, oh that's right I don't know the exact dates :-) Oh well, let's just say I am there whenever the dates are posted. One more added note, I love this connection website with my classmates. Please encourage those who has not updated their profile to do so in order for us to keep in touch with one another. Take care to all.

Gwen, I didn't say that you couldn't dance. I just think you could do better if you worked at The Baptist hospital. St. D. is behind the times. You need to be at the best hospital in town.

Update for the classmates. Sorry for the delay with pictures out to you. After the reunion I was tied up with a wedding and then had a car accident which required surgery etc.. so I have been out of commission for a bit but plan to update those photographs as promised this weekend.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. My myspace page has photos and details of the incident.. LOL.

Love & Laughter,
Stacie

Hey, all. Hope all are doing well. The reunion was a blast! I'm so glad you all came. I hated to miss Saturday night and Sunday ... but it won't happen next time.

I apologize for not updating the website after the reunion. I too was in a car accident - hit by a drunk driver and rolled the car a couple of times. My 12 year old was in the car with me and the rest of my family was in the car ahead of us. God is truly amazing and good. Meghan had a big bruise on her arm but was more concerned about her cell phone being broken. (Gotta love kids.) I was pretty banged up but nothing too bad. The bruises have healed but the back is still having problems. The car was totaled, but by the grace of God alone, we were not seriously hurt.

I will get on the website soon. The developers were upgrading the site to allow for users to upload picture albums, etc. I believe they have just finished with that. I'll check it out and get it going soon.

I really encourage all of you to continue to use this website as a communication tool. If you move or your contact information changes in any way, please update yoru profile so we can find you for the next reunion.

It truly was great seeing all who showed up at the reunion. For those who didn't, we really missed you and you really missed a good time. We hope to see you all again at the 25th reunion, if not before.

Take care, be safe, and enjoy the rest of the summer!
