Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Steve-Careful! Mr. Faulkner married my cousin Jo Lee! I bet you are right though! My mom had 9 brothers and sisters and was next to the youngest! She was an Aunt before she was born and had siblings old enough to be her parents! Jo Lee is my first cousin.

Bruce and Judy-I guess my head was in the sand! I never remember any of that stuff...people are always amazed at my memory! I guess it was something I did not want to remember! I just thought we all got along! I like people and I don't care about anything except that they are kind to others. That old Golden Rule we all learned in Sunday School was right on! It never goes wrong!

Rhea-I did not remember that you married at Christmas. I thought it was at the end of the year. How narrow minded people were back then. You were defnitely discriminated against! You should have been able to finish out as a cheerleader! You had been one all through school!
I use to go with my mom and sister in the summertime to be with my dad whose job took him away from home a lot. Starting in the Seventh grade rumors would go around that I was going away to have a baby or an abortion! I had a cousin who was born when I was 12 and he and I were the only people in the Friend family with red hair. I adored him and often took him for walks for my Aunt. Kids thought he was mine and they had adopted him! People can be so cruel. I decided you can not change what people want to think or believe but you can find comfort that God knows the truth and that is all that really matters. I have always felt that we should not believe all the things you hear about people.

Judy-Wow! The lawsuit you could have! When you interview people today you are not allowed to ask if they are married, have children or plan to have them. You can ask them to tell about themselves and they can volunteer the info. I guess you all think I am lawsuit happy! I really am not, but I do believe people should follow the rules. I belong to a teacher's organization (TFT) and have taken training to be an advisor to teachers in my district on legal matters. I believe in getting rid of people who are not doing their job, however many teachers are wrongfully terminated because the principal or supervisor wants them gone for other reasons! One teacher was told by her principal he did not like it that she did not wear hose. He said that she did not supervise her class properly. The teachers have the right to due process and the organization provides free lawyers and advice. The other teachers that had to testify at the hearing said that she was one of the best teachers they had ever worked with. She had been a district Teacher of the Year! The teacher was reinstated and the supervisor was reassigned. He later hired his "girlfriend" to be on his new staff! He has since been terminated for "sexual harrassment"!

Carla- No offense to Mr. Faulkner. I thought he was a very good principal. I do resent that he substituted the picture of Chuck escorting Rhea with a picture of ME escorting Rhea in the 9th grade Football Homecoming picture. I would have WANTED to be the one to escort Rhea but I don't think that I did.

Bruce- WOW, I just checked out your updated profile. No wonder you haven't 'posted' in a while.

Lavanna M. Hawkins (Morgan)

HI GUYS,
WELL MY BRILLANT SON GOT ME BACK ON LINE JUST A FEW MOMENTS AGO. MY PC IS STILL DOWNLOADING PROGRAMS THAT WAS LOST. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK! IT FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS AND MY BIRTHDAY ALL ROLLED INTO ONE. I CAN'T WAIT TILL IT'S ALL SET UP BUT I JUST HAD TO LET YOU ALL KNOW, NOW I CAN JOIN IN THE CONVERSATION AGAIN. TALK TO YOU ALL SOON......

04/30/09 09:14 PM #499

Judith Ann Postier

Steve- I think you were the one who escorted Rhea in the 9th grade. Or, am I missing something here?

04/30/09 09:48 PM #500

Steven Ray (Steve) Postier

Lavanna- So good to have you back. Let me catch you up on what has been going on. Rhea bore a baby girl 6 years after being conceived. Mary Ann is planning a clandestine meeting with Carla before the reunion. Evidently there is some question about a 'tiara'. Bruce, after being turned down for a loan from First National Bank because he looked like a girl, moved to Austin, Texas and married a beautiful 16 year old girl with big boobs. And Jan continues to oil her 'treasures' to keep them 'supple'.
Judy- Really???

Rhea Joyce Freeman (Weaver)

I guess I'm going to have to find that picture from the 9th grade and upload it. I added some photos of some of my horses I used to own.

Rhea Joyce Freeman (Weaver)

Lavanna - Welcome back! My computer crashed in December and I had to buy a new one. What a pain!
Steve - When did you become such a comedian? You do have a "way" with words.
Bruce - Great looking family! Did you get a late start?

Janis Ann (Jan) Dirickson (Marshall)

Rhea Joyce, them are some big horses.....I don't think I could have gotten within 5mi.of a bunch of cows riding one of those big guys. Riding the breaks would be quite and experience. I've got to get my pictures up of my kids, grandkid, horses and my supple Big Dick.. Steve I forgot to mention how adorable Baylee is. My grandson is pretty cute too, but a little on the wild side seems to have a mind of his own. Wonder where that came from? I now have to go look at Bruce's profile and check out why he may be lucky like me. Steve I have the annual out and am looking at it, you are #20 standing arm and arm with the lovely Football Princess Rhea Joyce Freeman. Bill is below your picture with the lovely Basketball Princess Shirley Myers. Rhea hate to tell you this but Shirley's crown is nicer than yours.

Bruce- Holy Smokes your kids are beautiful! All three of them.

Steven Ray (Steve) Postier

Rhea- Is that you or Michelle on the horses? You did have 'good looking' horses.
Jan- My grandson is pretty wild as well. He takes after his daddy. (who takes after his mother).
Rhea- OK, I'll return the damn crown. I like to wear it when I'm doing my housework.

RHEA YOU HAVE BEAUTIFUL HORSES I'D BE SO SCARED TO RIDE THEM.

05/01/09 07:20 AM #507

Lavanna M. Hawkins (Morgan)

I THINK THE FBI IS STILL IN CONTROL OF MY COMPUTER THEY MUST HAVE PUT A TRACE ON IT TO CHECK ALL THE INFORMATION I HAVE ON IT.

IT TOOK ME TWO HOURS LAST NIGHT READING ALL THE MESSAGES, I FINALLY GOT ALL CAUGHT UP!

05/01/09 07:22 AM #508

THANKS STEVE FOR PUTTING THE STUFF ON ABOUT ME, IT WAS FUNNY.... I HOPE NO ONE EVER GETS AS SICK AS I WAS. I FEEL 100% BETTER NOW. THERE ARE 2 KNOW CASES OF SWINE FLU HERE SO FAR. Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Steve-Give her back her crown! I will give you one at the reunion! I will bring one for you and one for Mary Ann! I have several of them just taking up space! I will also throw in an apron for your house cleaning duties. (Susan please take a picture and send it to us!) If you need it before the reunion I will bring it to Tulsa next weekend! We will be there to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday!

Well we have closed some schools in my neck of the woods! We have one confirmed case in our district and many more suspected. We are waiting results for one at Bill's school. If it is confirmed his school will close and because I am his adorable wife I also will have to stay home for a week. They are getting subs for spouses and parents who have contact with any school that is closed. I could use an unexpected vacation right now!

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Bruce-Your wife is beautiful and so are your girls! Thanks for posting the pictures!

Rhea-Your horses are beautiful! I bet you were really attached to them! When you raise animals from babies they are your "babies"! Do you still have horses?

05/01/09 10:41 AM #512

Rhea Joyce Freeman (Weaver)

That is me riding my horses...although many people could not tell if I was riding or Michelle if we wore a hat because we rode exactly alike. I will scan a couple pictures of her. I'm sad to say I no longer have any horses and I really miss them. B Good was my "baby" and my best horse. He was a powerful stallion and my trainer and I were the only 2 people who ever rode him. When we sold him, it broke my heart. We sold the last one a month before Rodger's accident.

Yes, I guess I started later than most, but it has worked out well for me. Ana and I met while we were at The Univ of Tx at Austin and both working in the Non-Student Rec Dept. She was an aerobics instructor and I taught a fitness class using medicine balls. Ana is 16 years younger than me (a Gen Xer) and we decided before we married that when she had the babies, that I would stay at home and raise them. Ana gave birth to Viviana (now 13 & a 7th grader @ The Ana Richards Sch for Young Women Leaders, AISD) during Ana's 2nd year at UT Law School. She got a position with a firm in Dallas a year after graduating. So in July, 1997, after 13 years at UT as a Strength & Conditioning Coach I resigned and became a Stay-at-Home-Dad. Isabella (now 8 & a 3rd grader @ Zilker Elem) was born in June of 2000. Ana has 4 degrees from UT; a BA in French, MS in Molecular Biology, an MBA & a JD (patent attorney). We moved back to Austin in July 2003. She is kinda ambitious. She is Sr VP of the biotechnology company she works for and is also their General Counsel. She heads the biotechnology committee for the Chamber of Commerce. And, she is active in improv comedy, yada, yada, yada I can't keep up with it all; I have a golf game to fine tune you know. And, piano lessons, and volleyball teams to coach, PTA meeting to attend, a booster club to organize, the lawn & the house to worry about, did I mention my golf game? It can be so stressful! Somehow I cope, Carla you feel for me don't you. Steve please keep your comments to yourself. Jan don't be a hag. Rhea I hope you are filled in now and Whoa, how about those horses, I never saw anything like that in the Ol' Will Roger's Rodeo Parade; it would have caused a riot. Hey Lavanna, Good to see your back on line. You will always be the skinny girl with glasses. Oh yeah, After I moved to Austin, the first time, I became a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union before going to UT. But, don't ask about that; I can't talk because I know where they buried Jimmy Hoffa. Lavanna don't say anything to your federal friends.

Bruce-I do feel for you! Not many dad's can take staying at home! I do know that schools and teachers appreciate all the help we can get! It sounds like you are very involved in your children's education! That is so important! I really admire your schedule!
I wish we had known you were in Dallas...you and Bill could have hooked up and played golf! Does your wife play? I tried early in our marriage to learn and Bill very kindly told me I should find another hobby! I was not very good. So now I collect antique dishes and scrapbook...I am very good at both of those hobbies!

I learned to play golf at the VCC, when I was 10 or 11, along with Bill & Chuck and played for a few years before our family was no longer a member. I didn't play for the next 35 years and only picked it back up in Nov 2003 after moving back to Austin. When we moved to Dallas Viviana was just 18 mo. and I didn't potty train her till she was 3. Isabella came along shortly after that, so I was fairly busy at home. You know cataloging the breast milk, facilitating my wife's pumping while she's at work, the feedings and the dippers you know the drill. Someone once said child rearing was 90% drudgery and 10% bliss but somehow it balances out. I would do it again in a heart beat but my wife thinks not, nor does she play golf. Only after Isabella had started preschool did I find myself with bigger blocks of time and I rediscovered golf. We have been members here in Austin at Lost Creek CC for 2 years. I look forward of playing some golf while in NE OK although I know VCC no longer exists.

It is hard to think of Vinita without the Country Club! I loved the food and the pool. I can not imagine what people do now for fun.

05/01/09 04:35 PM #518

Nothing, Vinita is a deadend town. We can chuck this up to poor city leadership and a narrow family control of the town. Here is a prime example of the stupidity the town leadership exudes. Several years back, the City Council fence line (300 feet) annexed Hwy 60 & 66 property from Vinita past White Oak. Why, because they fell for the BS a promoter was feeding and a rumor that NASCAR was going to put in a racetrack, so when that fell through, they fell for the rumor that a religious amusement park was going to be built on the ranch land. (The ranch has since been sold to another rancher and it is a working ranch.) The city attorney Jot Hartley stated, "Vinita had to annex the property before White Oak did." And when did White Oak incorporate? It didn't, it was never a town. How stupid did he think we were? I was more than happy to call Jot on it and many other aspects. What infrastructure was in place to support such an endeavor? None. How is that for city leadership? How do I know? I fought this battle at City Hall. I presented an opposing petition signed by all but two property owners in the proposed annex area. Throughout the hearings, most of the communication was through Jot Hartley, councilors ask no questions or had any comment. They were just a bunch of puppets on a string, following command. The only councilor to oppose the action was Mr. Jim Wright (Gary & Cheryl's dad). And I might add, that a council member and his boss at Ford and a young jerk that works at First National Bank were in cahoots with the promoter.
