05/07/09 11:31 AM #569     Johnnie Wayne Johnson WOW!!! Looks like we have had a WHOLE bunch of people sign up since I been gone. Its good to hear from ALL of ya. And I promise to get around to everyone of ya! I have got to get some pics up. Its gettin kinda embarrassing, since i promised pics of myself a long long time ago. Gonna work on that today! I hate to say this, but Jan and I sat down for a family finanicial meeting the other nite, and a trip back there is just out of the question this year. Tryin to get Sam started at CSUN (California State University-Northridge) is just draining us dry, drier, driest. LOL We have enough to get thru it...but any extra-curricular, fun to do, just the two us get-a-way is just not gonna happen this year We didnt get the scholarships that we thought we were going to get (not Sam's fault entirely). Its the system now and thats another story for another time. (growl) Anyways, we are exploring the other avenues and I think Sam will come out fine. She only has to take one semester of math, "remedial" so that was a blessing. (shakes his head) I know that doesnt sound good but out here...thats a blessing in disguise. The school systems out here for the most part are little fife-doms. If the kids get taught anything, its because the parents have fought for it. OOPs! Sorry! (scoots the soap box back underneath the table) Lets just put it this way...our school system will be just as glad that Sam is graduating this year as we are! (evil snicker)

I want my daughter to read that.(#513) Like yourself I was/am Sam's "primary care giver" from the time she was 6 years old. Not by choice but never the less... Number 1, not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination. I took over the house duties as well and I can only say this, I was SO unprepared for what followed. But more importantly, I wouldnt have missed it for the world. To be there for Sam everyday...dang. It just doesnt get any better than that. Now her current boyfriend, seems to think that Sam should follow him around in the Military. He plans to enlist and Sam just flat told him NO! I dont think so! (her desires are for a Master's degree in Marine Biology) You can quit and follow me around! I laughed my ah hmm's off. LOL

As for Faulkner and those that spread those rumors, we are all teachers...we teach children everyday by the way we act and what we do, sometimes we teach what to DO and sometimes we teach what NOT to do. First I will wait to see who swears me to secrecy, before I say too much. You know I was a rebel in my own way, but I sure have lots of memorable times. Tricia already threatened me and I'm sure I may have some more threats before its over with. Oh! and about the Grandkids, you just wait til I show ya mine. Of course they are the cutest and the coolest livin. I am looking so forward to seeing everyone this summer, it will be the first time I have attended a reunion, and I am excited. Oh and about you a job, I don't know if you would want to work for me, one of my Sisters works for me and she says its not pretty. Ha! However I would be glad to have you. I have been working on projects...flower beds, shampooing carpets ect.. I also took care of my grandson so he would not have to go to day care. My daughter's school, Coppell, did not close. Tooter-I am glad you are on the forum! Be kind to us! Paul-Welcome! Things can get a little crazy at times. I have learned many things that I did not know about some of our classmates! Rhea-If I ever need protection I know who to call! All-Are we talking about "thongs" as in shoes or "thongs" as in panties. I love "thongs" as in "flip-flop" shoes but I do not like panties that make me feel like I have a "wedgie"!!! Someone clue me in on the type we are discussing! I can not imagine having rinestones up my hiney!

I WENT AND SHARPEN MY PENCIL AND ONLY POKED HER ONCE AND SHE BLEW UP. SHE TOLD ME TO MEET HER AFTER SCHOOL SHE ACTED SO MEAN. BUT I WAS THERE WHERE SHE SAID TO MEET AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN SHOW. I NEVER HAD ANY MORE PROBLEMS OUT OF HER AFTER THAT.

Carla- Mary Ann started this by talking about her daughters being embarrassed until she learned that thongs were no longer thongs, they were flip-flops. So I just started playing off of that, to have a little fun, then Steven and Jan and I took it a little further. We just talked in general about "thongs" and Lavanna took the bait! Now we know where Lavanna's mind runs! She is the one who thought thongs were panties.

05/07/09 06:50 PM #589     Johnnie Wayne Johnson Distinguished Lavanna! Distinguished...LOL I told you guys that my beauty was indescrible...LOL HUGS! As to your computer, i dont work on computers any more...except my own... and then as little as possible. I dont have the patience anymore and been out of the loop for too long. I am running two computers as we speak...one is a dual core AMD 32bit HP off the shelf with a 20 inch LCD screen. Thats my web computer. The other is a Quad core Intel 64bit HP off the shelf but its a romp stomper for graphics with a 25 inch LCD. I run them side by side with one mouse and one keyboard using a program called "Multiplicity". It allows me to just run the mouse over to other screen and instantly operate that computer. Neat program. These two are also connected via a router hardwired and I have a wireless setup for the house as a whole for laptops and printers and such. So any of them can share info across the network. As for outside communications...All computers use the DSL modem thru ATT. Everything sets behind the firewall of the router so I seldom get hit by hackers and stuff. I dont surf on the net that much and if I do then i use the little one. It has extra software on it to intercept and squash virus and crap before they ever do any damage. Ok so now eveyone knows my passion...or used to be. LOL hugs John
