All - Thanks for all of your prayers! Elijah (7 lbs 1 oz) and Faith (6lbs 14 oz) were born Wednesday, about 12:30 PM.That's big for twins! They are healthy and happy and mom is doing well. Their daddy is a real blessing - he diapers, gets up with them at night to feed them. That's different from the old days, as I remember. I'll be taking some shifts this weekend and over the next week or so.
Also, my sister had the surgery, but has had a bit of a rough time. Steve, I've had knee replacementtoo and it was well worth it. I'll pass your message along!

Steve - My sister is 12 years older than I (I probably was a surprise blessing) - that's why you didn't know about her. She was a teen during the 50's and it really did seem like Happy Days. I used to play in her hats, formal dresses and heels - that didn't go over very well with her. I never could figure out how she knew I had been in her stuff.

Mary Ann-Congratulations what a wonderful blessing. We got to spend time with Quaid this past weekend, wow twice the pleasures of the terrible "2's" you have to look forward too. I guess it's true you forget how busy they are at that age. I was lucky enough to be around your sister off and on, she seemed so beyond us, and I suppose she was. I'll keep Sue in my prayers. Have fun grandmama...

I have much to be thankful for and I am! I gave my big dining room table to my daughter (with the most children)last summer, thinking I would be moving soon. Well the house hasn't sold, but she hosted Thanksgiving ( because she has the big table now) and it was very nice. It's a lot easier this way ( for me). Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone, I talked to Judy last night she is waiting for a new computer to arrive. She lost her old one to a nasty virus. I think she's having withdrawals-she did mention breaking ( maybe that wasn't quite the word)into someone's house and borrowing theirs??? Anyway she'll be back as soon as she can find an open back door or whatever to keep us all in line and informed on Vinita's happenings.

JAN- TELL JUDY I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS I DIDN'T HAVE A COMPUTER FOR 2 WEEKS AND YES YOU DO GET WITHDRAWALS. MY SON HELPED ME GET RID OF THE VIRUS AND BACK UP AND RUNNING AGAIN. I WISH HER LUCK. HOPE TO HEAR FROM HER SOON.

Carla- Is Sharon an oversexed ho or what????

12/01/09 12:02 PM #1107

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Steve-Yes she is! But she has turned in to that due to her depression! She has lost two children! The love of her life left her for Phyliss! (Talk about a Ho!) I feel so sorry for her. Sharon will never recover until Nick comes to his senses and goes back to the woman who is his destiny!!!! I do not want her to end up with Adam! Sharon is greiving for all the losses in her life! I just wish I could talk to her...and Nick!!!

Carla & Steve, were any of those people at the reunion? Yesterday Blizzard 2009 came through Austin, it lasted 4 minutes. But, you know me, Carpe Diem Baby, Egg Nog and some Scotch and those Xmas decorations just flew up onto the house. Luckily, I sobered up in time to go pick the girls up from school. It actually felt a little bit like Winter.

We have had temperatures in the 20's and I am so cold I feel like an Eskimo!!! We are use to much warmer weather down in Big D! It has been three days since the kids could go out! They are so delicate you know!!!

Bruce-I think they skipped the reunion this year! But Steve and I are in contact with them daily!! We could get their life in order if they would just listen to our advice!

All-This is my favorite time of the year! Celebrating the birth of Christ and being with family and friends! I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you can be with all the people you love and cherish! I wish you special memories of all those who are no longer here to celebrate beside you...remember they are always with you in your heart!

Most of us will hit the big 60 this year! Yes, Paul, I am getting closer to Social security...but Texas teachers are not allowed to draw SS! Hopefully that law will change before I hit the age!!!
Love to all!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOTER

WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND A VERY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

Paul-I would love to blame it on Perry! I think he is a -------! However this happened back in the 80's! There are 12 states that voted to not collect SS taxes from their teachers, fireman and policemen. It is called the WEP. There is also another one but I can't think of it! Many people have paid into SS from other jobs and I paid in when I taught in Kansas and Oklahoma. It doesn't matter! You can't even draw a widow's SS from your husband if he dies before you. If you worked and previously paid in for 30 years you can draw a percentage! Go to SS and look up the law! It stinks! If your wife has never worked a day in her life...she is entitled to draw 1/2 of her husband's SS...so I guess the money I paid in will go to those women! Bless their hearts!!! They have been trying for 5 years to try to change that law in Washington...but it keeps getting pushed back!
I have worked at the state level here in Texas and many trips to Austin to try to get Texas to change. We use to have a loop hole but our wonderful state goverment closed that a couple of years ago.

I'm finally back! It is a little hard getting used to using a laptop, but I love how fast this is. My old computer was so slow.

Jan left me a message today, said it was -25 with a -43 wind chill factor. Brrrrrrrr! Not so bad around here afterall!
