Steve - You will get to ( and really want to) do a lot of new things with your grand daughter - tea parties, dance recitals - the list goes on and it's so worth it! If I can learn to hunt crawdads at 58, you can play with Barbies. I have had 2 grand daughters who REALLY believed that they were a REAL princess - one 4 yr old almost got in a knock down drag out, when another 7 yr old told her she was NOT a REAL princess at McDonalds! She's the same one, who responded to my question -as to what she wanted to be when she grew up - with, "well, a queen, grandma" AH, it's good to be queen!
Lavanna - I will pray. It helps me to read the Psalms when I am going through rough places in life. I can always find something to identify with and gain strength and hope!

STEVE- AH!!!! THAT IS SO SWEET. I WAS PRESENT WHEN BOTH OF MY GRANDCHILDREN WERE BORN IT IS SOMETHING TO HOLD THEM AS SOON AS THERE BORN AND TO KNOW THEY ARE YOUR FLESH AND BONE IT'S JUST AMAZING. THERE'S NOTHING LIKE HAVING GRANDCHILDREN.

Steve-By the time Baylee gets married you will be a melted blob! She is so beautiful and she will charm you many more times. Wait until she sits on your lap,kisses and hugs and tells you "I love you papa!" "You are the best papa in the world!" You will have to be put in a freezer or you will be a puddle on the floor! Grandkids are the most special gift God gives us! I thank him for my two everyday and for the chance to be part of their lives! Be sure to post a current picture of her so we can see how beautiful she is getting!

Lavanna-How long will you sister need to stay in long term care? Does she have children? I am still praying for her.
I am going through tests next week to see if I am Dibetic. My blook sugar has been high (174) for a couple of Dr. visits. I got it down to 104 but it went back up again. I had an aunt on each side of my family that had it...but no one else. I guess these things happen as we get older. I am hoping I can control it without medication if I do have it!

CARLA- MY SISTER HAS A FRACTURE OF THE SPINE AND SHE WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETLY BEDRIDDEN FOR 6-10 WEEKS SO IT CAN TOTALLY HEAL. YES SHE HAS 3 CHILDREN THAT LIVE CLOSE THERE. I AM PLANNING ON SAVING UP MY MONEY AND GOING TO VISIT HER THIS JUNE OR JULY IF I CAN GET THE MONEY SAVED. EVERYONE WHO HAS SEEN HER SAYS SHE IS ALL FILLED UP WITH FLUID AND LOOKS LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON. I JUST GOT AN E-MAIL FROM MY OTHER SIS THIS EVENING AND SHE SAID SHE TALKED TO HER ON THE PHONE AND SHE SOUNDED LIKE HERSELF AGAIN. I'M PRAYING I'LL GET TO SEE HER AGAIN. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS. I'LL BE PRAYING FOR YOU TOO. MY OTHER SISTER FOUND OUT LAST YEAR THAT SHE WAS DIABETIC . MY PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS WERE. I AM NOT SO FAR. I HAVE A REALLY BAD COLD AND FEEL ROTTEN.

We're having a small blizzard. It isn't too bad yet, but the wind is suppose to blow tomorrow so we will have to shovel out the door. What's everyone up to this weekend? We went to the local pub (ok bar) and played cribbage all afternoon. As you can see we are bored. Later.

Thanks Lavanna we think he's kinda cute too. We are having our blizzard and my oh my how the wind is blowing. All our doors were drifted shut this morning, we opened one but it blows shut about as fast as we can shovel. The winds are suppose to die down tonight. It is pretty though, that is until the snow sets up and we have to shovel the dogs pen out, or they'll walk over the fence. It's always something. We always welcome moisture, as we don't get an over abundance of it. Bye for now.

Johnny Morgan was lifeflighted to the Heart Hospital in Tulsa this morning. He had had a heart attack. One artery had a 90% blockage and they put in a stint in it. Another artery has a 70% blockage but they are going to wait 6 weeks to let todays surgery heal before putting in the second stint.
Please keep Johnny in your thoughts and prayers.

Jan-Your son and grandson are so cute! I think it is great that they live close so you can spend time with him!! I can not imagine all that snow! It is supose to snow here on Thursday! I don't do cold very well! I would love to sit and talk and share old times! I am really going to be there this July!

Well looks like we could get anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow, but looks like we might miss the ice. I hope so. I'm still picking up dead limbs as they fall from the trees in the yard from the ice storms we have had the last two years!

We have the generator sitting ready to go if we need it!

We had a truck load of gravel hauled in to our driveway, and I actually shoveled and raked "17 ton" of rock the last two days all by myself. Dean drove the tractor and I shoveled and raked it out of the front in loader onto the driveway one load at a time.

ALL- WELL WE ARE GETTING THE HIGH WINDS AND BRUTAL COLD TEMPS NOW. IT'S ABOUT -14 WIND CHILL ABOUT 6* TEMP THE WIND IS BRUTAL YOU SURE DON'T WANT TO STAY OUT LONG. WE GOT ABOUT 3 " OF SNOW TODAY BUT THE WIND IS BLOWING IT INTO DRIFTS. IS IT SPRING YET?????
