Happy belated Birthday Wishes on Saturday, March 27th to

BILL KOLB

May the year ahead bring you good health, happiness and all that you desire!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

William C. (Bill) Kolb

Thanks for the birthday wishes from everybody. Sorry for my late response. I've been out of the loop on the message board board, then forgot my password. I was looking in all the wrong places to find out what to do when you forgot your password. Probably should not have tried to copy so much from Rhea. Since I've been off the board for so long, it would be impossible for me to address "all" the slanderous things Morgan has said about me and Ron Miller, and his "selective memory," and his total disregard of factual evidence. How could I have forgotten that he was a high school All American, Valedictorian, and had his own Fishing & Hunting tv show? I was also hoping that time had erased, from your memories, some of the actions of my youth." But nobody can accuse this class of memory loss. But on a serious note, when I have told people where I grew up, I always described Vinita as: "Everybody's Mayberry." Thanks to each one of you for making it that way for me. Bill

Bill, it's nice to hear from you. Happy Birthday! Finally, everyone else is catching up to we more mature members of the class. Okay I meant OLDER members.

Bill - Vinita was more of a cross between Mayberry and Peyton Place. Mayberry was a place that was too good to be true.

Rhea Joyce Freeman (Weaver)

Carla - I love my job and it's keeping me out of trouble. I get my picture in the paper too much so I can't take any chances! Ha!
I agree with Bill - Vinita, in our school years, was just like Mayberry. I don't know if it turned into "Desperate Housewives" in later years or not because I didn't get home much.

Rhea and Bill - If Vinita was like Mayberry, does that mean that Bruce was Opie?

04/01/10 11:12 AM #1327

Carla Ray Williams (Yocum)

I have been laughing until my sides hurt! I always thought of Vinita as Mayberry too! But we had a lot of Peyton Place! I bet their are a lot of "Desperate Housewives" now! Vinita does not have a lot going on these days...but I still love it and have awesome memories of the way we lived! I feel bad for the kids today! They can't even play outside without an adult! We have so many "nuts" out their who prey on hurting children! We never locked our doors and we rode our bikes or walked all over town! We played outside after dark with the kids on the block! Childhood is different today! It makes me sad that they can not enjoy growing up the way we did!
Paul-If Bruce is Opie, How does the rest of the cast figure out?!!!

Carla - Okay, try this

Aunt Bee - Jan Nix
Goober - Chuck Donaldson

Rhea Joyce Freeman (Weaver)

I think Bill was Opie because he was always in trouble and could talk his way out of anything! Mary Ann would be Aunt Bee because she was so smart and our "Dear Abby"...Bruce would be Andy...

Can I be Otis? Or one of the Darlin brothers?

Happy Easter to one and all! May we all remember the reason for this day and rejoice in it.

Steve if you are one of the Darlin boys, does that make me Charlene? Cousins or siblings I don't think it mattered to the Darlin clan as long as you were kin!

The best Barney might have been Bennie Bob Boevers, God rest his soul!

Mary Ann Johnson (Null)

All - Thank you for the birthday wishes! Vinita sure had a lot of spring babies in 51' (course there wasn't much outside entertainment in Mayberry). But as I look in the mirror, now another year older and dumber, PLEASE don't compare me to Aunt Bea! I already feel rounder by the min. - and Bea's double chin thing was not pretty. But at least Aunt Bea was well groomed and always wore pearls. Don't know about doing the braids, but I can do the pearls. I really did picture the ideal wife/mom to be June Cleaver.
Steve, Darlin brother, - I believe you did cast yourself correctly though - didn't you mention having a store of home brew stashed somewhere out in the country? Don't know if you ever made any money off of it though.

Steve-You were so right about Shelia/Sarah! Who do you think killed Adam? I missed an episode!
