During the late 70’s, Lyndia and her family relocated from Washington DC to the San Francisco Bay Area. It was a book that changed the ‘set of Lyndia’s sails’ and life for her has never been the same. With faith and her newly acquired success principles, Lyndia put the steps to a test and became an entrepreneur. After coming back to her second home, she learned how Washington works.
Greatly impacted by the death of her mother who died from complications of Type 2 Diabetes; as a result, Lyndia became an Ambassador for The American Diabetes Association currently serves as a healthy lifestyles speaker.
Known for inspiring listeners to action, those who experience hearing messages by this powerhouse speaker are changed forever, especially her signature message “Your Body is A Temple”!
Having spoken in venues nationally, often opening for Les Brown, and as a member of the Les Brown Platinum Speakers, Lyndia is also selected frequently to inspire small business owners, after serving as executive director and effectively increasing a major DC festival to attendance of more than 100,000, Lyndia found her niche’.
Appointed by a DC Councilman as project director for the only national monument in the country to honor 209,145 Black Soldiers who fought in the American Civil War, Lyndia is called on often as a black history speaker.
Lyndia Grant is educated, she earned her BA Degree in Vommunications from Trinity Washington University. She is also the author of “The Sharecropper’s Daughter - It’s Not Where You Begin But Where You End That Counts!”

Hello to all of my fellow Techites...tune in to my radio talk show on Radio One every Friday at 6:00 pm...It is The Lyndia Grant Show. You folks know me as Linda Grant. I did not change my name. At age 26 l learned that Lyndia was written on my birth certificate. The Lenoir County Court House sent me a copy of my original birth certificate, and my parents were correct, my birthdate and all details were correct, except my name. My birth certificate had Lyndia Cornell Grant. I had always known Linda Carol Grant. The court said that l must prove that l am Linda before they could correct my record. Or, they said l can begin using the name that has always been listed on my birth certificate. Family still calls me Linda. But l don't feel like l am Linda after using my official now for 40 years!
