Marvin L. Albertson

I went to Butler C.C. for a year playing football with Frank Dutton and Larry Eldredge. I then joined the Army, went to boot camp, A.I.T. and then Jump School at Ft. Benning, GA. I got out of there and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne. While In the 82nd I went to the Dominican Republic,
from there I went to the 101st Airborne and off to Vietnam for a year vacation. I got out of the Army in 1966, met my wife, Dana, a Wichita girl, in Aspen Co. and we got married a year later. From our marriage, we have two lovely daughters, Angie and Lori. I worked at Rainbo Baking Co. for twenty years, starting out as a Route Bread Salesman working my way up to being President of the Rainbo Bakery in Grand Island, NE. I left there and became a District Manager for Wichita Coca-Cola for four years. I then went to work for Meyer Bakeries out of Hope, AR. was there for fourteen years. I now work for Daymon Worldwide, one of the largest Private Lable Food Brokers in the world, our divisions work only with Dillon's Stores out of Hutchinson, KS., I have been there for eight years, retired April 2, 2012. I like to play golf, we just moved on to the Reflection Ridge Golf Club. I have two old cars that I put into car shows, an all original 1973 Plymouth Custom Sattelite and a 1948 Oldsmobile Coupe that I bought from Wayne Newkirk. We have two grandchildren that will keep us busy with all of their sports, Hunter(16 yrs), Ashlie(13 yrs). I retired on April 02, 2012.

My wife, Dana and I, along with some long time friends, went on a ten day cruse south in January (2015) to Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. It was a lot of fun and interesting to see how other people live, all beautiful countries.
We ate to much, took in a lot of sights, swam and snorkeled in the ocean.
The island we went to snorkel at was about three blocks long and two blocks wide, really small with a reef all the way around the entire island. With the reef, there was a lot of sea life, so that was neat to see, no sharks. We went
back to New Orleans and did a tour there then headed back to cold Wichita.
