Hi Guys: Just wanted to update you that we (Mike, sr.) have done a full circle & moved back to Joplin, MO. permanently. I had a bad marriage in Wichita, (but it did produce 2 beautiful sons). In 1969, my boys & I moved to Joplin, MO., where I went to work for my aunt. Mike was born in Joplin, and also raised there. I waited for our third son, Mike II, who was born in Joplin in 1972, to ask the "question"......Mom where did you meet Dad???? Had to buck up & tell him in "a bar"! Mike was a professional drummer..Now Mike II is a professional drummer,out of K.C. Our son played with some of the original KANSAS members, including Kerry Livgren, who wrote "Dust in the Wind" & "Carry On My Wayward Son". (Sorry proud mama). When we were in Joplin, somehow Greta Gray got ahold of me. She was living there also with her husband & son Jack. We had gone through Woodland elementary to graduating from North. In 1974, we went back towards Great Bend, KS so Mike could work the oilfields with my dad. We been basically in KS (other than when Mike, Sr was traveling with bands in the early 70"s). We have lived in Great Bend, then went to Scott City, KS area, to Healy, KS, Dodge City, KS for 11 yrs, & then Topeka, KS. for 4 years. We went hesitantly to Topeka to help our daughter Lynnsee raise her son, as she was a single mom....Well she married another dud & has two more sons, she is raising as a single parent. We figured one kid was fine but two more, was just more than we could handle, at our tender age...right, so Oct. 12, 2013, we bought a mobile home, in a park for people over 55. My sister lives in here too. So we have really retired!!!!! We've gone full circle with our lives. It is helping my health. I feel alive for the first time in years. I still suffer from anorexia & fibromyalgia but love my kids & grandkids from a distance. My two oldest boys are in Colo. & have been for years. Their daughters have made me a great-grandma...Dear Lord! Peace to all of you...Jane

Raised 4 kids, been married almost. 52 yrs. Worked for the State of Kansas, for over 15 years, moved to Dodge City & worked for Dodge City, Ks Public Library for 5 years. Got mono & had to retire. Live in Joplin, MO.
