We continue the efforts learned in West Virginia. We believe that people do not need a passport to visit the mission fields - there is plenty of work to do right in our own communities. The majority of work is with Pathways Drop-In Center for the Mentally Ill. I was talking with smooth jazz artist Joyce Cooling before a concert and Lt. Deanne Adams of Orange County (FL) Correctional overheard us. I was sharing with Joyce about the work I had done with the homeless in Fort Wayne, IN. Deanne invited us to the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Walk the next day. We did and ever since have continued to work with them. We have written numerous articles on local charities and these have resulted in thousands of dollars generated for the non-profits.
Pathways is a vision of Nelson Kull who is schizophrenic and wanted a place for people who may find difficulty establishing themselves with the general population.
