Regarding Notice from Tucows/Enom Team regarding Organization Team that states Action is Required

The notice is legitimate
No action is required by you
Please read further about what this notice means and how we can take care of it for you if you need more details.

Do I need to create a contact form ticket or email you what I received?

No we are able to update this for everyone and do not need your specific email as the same email was sent to all domain owners. We are able to update this for everyone - there is nothing further you need to do.

Who is Tucows/Enom?

Any site admin who registered their domain through Admin Functions > Manage Domain or Classnames.net (the site we used for registering domains before we integrated it into Admin Functions > Manage Domain) have Enom / Enomcentral.com as their underlying domain registrar. They are listed under your Admin Functions > Manage Domain > Domain Name Account Management section of your class site and on all domain receipts and payments as Enom. Enom is owned by Tucows.

Why did I receive this?

All domain owners at all domain registrars will receive this same notice your notice just happens to come from our domain partner Enom, who is owned by Tucows.

Why is this happening now?

Note that this is a change happening industry wide on how domain ownership is listed. Many class sites simply list their school name or site name in the organizational field because this field has always been informational only until now. Based on recent changes at in the domain industry and the central domain registry ICANN, the organizational name is now considered the "owner" of the domain name. If no organizational name is listed they will consider the First and Last name the owner. This doesn't change anything about your domain settings and how it works with your site it only affects who is the legal owner of the domain.

What do I need to do?

Nothing. We spoke with Enom/Tucows and confirmed we can simply remove the organizational name from all domains. This once required field is no longer required. We have a control panel that allows us to update domains on behalf of our customers for non-required fields so we are able to update this for you.

To make this easy for everyone we will remove the organizational name for all domains so there is nothing further that anyone will have to do unless you wish to have the domain name owned by your organization rather than you. In that case you can email info@classcreator.com and we can add your organizational name back in for you. If you ask us to add the organizational name back in for you please provide the full legal name of the organization that you want listed and your domain name in the email and we can make that adjustment for you very quickly.
