(November 16, 1948 - July 2, 2010)


Funeral Services for Claretta B. Boyles will be held 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 10, 2010 in Zion Chapel Baptist Church No. 1
with burial in the church's cemetery. 
Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 in 
Zion Chapel Baptist Church No. 1 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Claretta B. Boyles was born November 16, 1948, in Columbia, South Carolina to
Etta Mae Muller and the late William Boyles. She departed this life on Friday, July 2, 2010,
at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Educated in the public schools of Richland County,
Clarettta graduated from C. A. Johnson High School.

At an early age, she joined Stover Chapel Baptist Church #1.
She was the minister of music at Stover Chapel, Rice Chapel and Bethel Baptist Churches.
Claretta loved the Lord and loved her music.

Claretta was a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years and received an associate
degree in Refrigeration Heating and Air Condition from Midlands Technical College.
She was employed for several years at Seibels Bruce Group, Incorporation and the
State News Paper as a key punch operator. Claretta was also employed by UPS
where she was the first woman driver in the states of South Carolina,
North Carolina and Georgia, this opened doors for other female drivers.
She later opened her own salon “Abigale’s” which later became “Claretta’s Palace.”
Claretta and Frank later own and operated LJC (Love Jesus Christ) Masonry together.

She enjoyed having fashion shows, shopping, talking, laughing, cry-ing and confiding
her last wishes with her long time cousin/friend and sister, Mary Lou Miller.
Claretta enjoyed loving and caring for family and friends, reading, talking and
educating her grandchildren.

Never meeting a stranger in life, her personality and radiant smile made everyone
feel at home. She loved people and was always willing to lend a helping hand
which was her calling from God. Her greatest love was her husband for over 44 years;
greatest gift was her children; greatest joy was her beautiful grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marla Boyles, father, William Boyles and
grandchildren, DeAndre Devin Boyles and Kori A. Jenkins.

Claretta B. Boyles will forever be remembered and loved by her husband,
William Franklin Boyles; daughters, Bridgitte Binns (Gregory)
and Felicia Jenkins (Kelving); sons, Richo Boyles (LaShonta) and
Brooke Boyles; 9 grandchildren, LaCresha S. Hankins, Donoran T. Boyles,
Kristopher F. Jenkins, Kayla M. Binns, Kaiya J. Jenkins, Gregory T. Binns, Jr.,
Kelci M. Jenkins and Ke-shawn Boyles; mother, Etta Mae Muller; brothers,
Cornell Boyles (Patricia) and Raymond McMichael; sisters, Pandora Love, Beverly Boyles,
Marshall Douglas, Veda Muller and Elense Hamler; two sisters-in-law; aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and devoted friends.
