My how time flies! I was a paralegal for what seemed like a jillion years (actually 35 years), got burned out and then changed professions and did medical transcription working from home. Unfortunately, I fell and broke my dominant wrist in two places in October 2014 and it took six months before I could even use my fingers on that hand to type, so I decided to retire. Luckily I did because a year later I broke my ankle and still have lots of trouble with it. Ended up damaging a ligament but I will not have surgery on it.

It's the pits getting old. I fell in November 2019 when a stool I was standing on collapsed and I fell backwards and landed on my shoulder. I have had two shoulder surgeries since then, the last one being a total reverse shoulder and I am just now able to use my arm a little. Very frustrating.

I also am Executive Director of a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, Lifebridge for Animals. Our main goal is to help people with the cost of spaying and neutering their pets in order to cut down on the unwanted litters being born. Unfortunately, KY has been rated #1 for animal abuse for the past 12 years because of our lax laws. Seems to me the "KY powers to be" don't care much about animals. Since February 2012, we have issued almost 12,000 low cost spay/neuter vouchers. In addition, in January 2014 I implemented a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program for feral/stray/community cats and have fixed zillions of cats through that program. As you can tell, I am an animal lover!!!

I remember when Sharon Kunkel and I were cruisin' by Gary Poledna's house when we were a sophmore or junior. After circling his block three or four times, we saw two "old" ladies walking down the street. Sharon yelled "there's Gary...I recognize his walk". Apparently he and his friend, Mike Murdock, dressed up as old ladies to fool us. They fooled me but not Sharon.
