I met Gary the first day of football practice in 1960. We became good friends from then on. We were both stationed in NC he was in the Marines and I was in the Coast Guard. If we were both on leave at same time we would drive back to NC together. We lost contact with each other for a number of years. I was able to find him on the internet and we met at John Starkey's ( Superman ) home, another football friend from 62'. I was able to visit him at home one last time. I know that he's at rest and peace from that terrible ALS.

                                                      With Love
