Hello every one.  I enjoyed the breakfast we shared together this morning and the wonderful bond we shared as a family.  See you all tonight at the party.

The 55th Birthday Bash was a BIG success!  Hats off to Elton, Janice, and Betty for planning such an exceptional event.  Your hard work and dedication to MHS class of 74 have not gone unnoticed.  Saturday morning started off with a wonderful breakfast at Golden Corral.  The bonding and reuniting with old classmates were wonderful.  The evening Birthday Bash was awesome!  The power point brought back memories for some, and enlightened others who missed the 35th Class Reunion.  What a great way to begin the Birthday Bash!  The food was delicious.  The camaraderie was fabulous.  There were many new faces in the place.  You could hear the question being whispered,"who is that?"  It was obvious that everyone enjoyed the open bar.  The dancing was exciting!  Guess what?  A few of our classmates still can move.(smile)  I enjoyed having a photographer on site, and being able to leave with a complimentary picture to commemorate the event.

Thanks again for planning such a wonderful event.  A special thank you to Janice and Betty for all of their hard work keeping MHS class of 74 connected.  Elton, keep up the good work!  We are fortunate to have you come aboard.  May God continue to bless each of you.

SOUL SATISFACTION

EVERYONE LOOKS FOR SATISFACTION IN MANY WAYS AND IN MANY AREAS OF THEIR LIVES. WE ALL WANT TO FEEL FULFILLED. BU THE PERSON WHO EXPERIENCES SATISFACTION ON THE JOB, IN A MARRIAGE, AND IN OTHER AREAS CAN REMAIN EMPTY IF THE SOUL IS IGNORED. CHRISTIANS HAVE LEARNED THAT SOUL SATISFACTION IS AN UNSURPASSED DELIGHT, AND IT COMES ONLY FROM ONE PLACE: JESUS

The pictures of MHS74 55TH BB are EXCELLENT you Men & Women of GOD are Truly Blessed. I want to Thank Mrs. Janice Johnson Shider for sending me The MHS Class of 74's website.  "May GOD continue to keep you & your family member's and friends," IN PERFECT PEACE".

IN THE BEGINNING

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD...AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US, AND WE SAW HIS GLORY, GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

JOHN 1:1, 14 NASB

KUDOS:  To Mr. Peck, Betty, Janice and ALL OF THE PEOPLE I HAVE NOT MENTIONED, GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I suggest we (ALL) have a (MISSION) and a BIG JOB in finding as many MHS74 Class Mates as possible for the future.

Prayer is Tough.  For followers of Christ, we know we are supposed to pray, and the bible challenges us to pray--but sometimes we wonder if it really matters. If it's really worth it. After all, we have all prayed prayers that were not answered the way we wanted or at the time we wanted them to be answered. We have all encountered friends and loved ones who felt that their prayers had risen no higher than the proverbial ceiling. In times like these, disappointment can take over our hearts and lead us to decide that prayer is pointless.

Question: But is that the (END) of the story?  Do moments of disappointment or question replace the assurance that we find in the pages of GOD'S book, or is it actually possible to find good reason for confidence in our prayers?......................................

PEACE TO ALL OF GOD"S PEOPLE

Class members,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for supporting our 55TH Birthday Bash that was held in August of 2011.  We literally embarked on our 40TH Class Reunion Raffle Ticket sale after the bash was over.  I just want to personally thank each of you for the dedication and support shown for both events.  I am blessed to have a strong working committee and classmates that work so hard and support MHS class of 74.  Please know that I am honored to be chairing our 40TH Reunion.  I am also committed to making sure all of our future events leading up to 2014 are as successful as possible.  Again, thank you and know that I deeply appreciate your support.

Betty,

Sorry, I couldn't be there with you physically, but my thoughts  and prayers were with you and your family.   I know there are no words I can say to help you through this time, but just know that I am thinking of you and I pray that in time, the pain will get a little easier to bear.  I love you girl.

Your friend always,

Gwen

To the whole  class reunion committee job well done, I think this was our better union ever.  My husband is still talking about the civil right museum, it was a great idea to include it as part of the reunion. Thank you for all your hard work.
