He and Dick were best of friends and Trubin came to live with us in his Junior year of high school. He adopted my parents and as long as he lived we were his family. My parents loved him as tho he were truly their son. His children and widow all live in Louisiana. Now I have lost my brother Dick Wheeler as well and my parents, so they are all up there watching over the rest of us as they did in life. I miss them all.

Trubin was a great friend in Jr High-- we hung out together many afternoons and walked home from Baker several times during our Jr High days. Now that was a hike!!

I think of Trubin every morning and every night when I brush my teeth. You see, Trubin and I had a fight in HS and a right cross dis-loged one of my front teth. That tooth has been replaced 3 times since HS. But, he was a great friend, classmate and fellow foot ball team mate. RIP!
