Sammy didnot complete HS. He droped out and joined the navy. He became light weight "fleet boxing champ". Came home and married Judy Laird. They divorced and he married Pee Wee Hallmark, they devorced. Sammy had problems and spent time at TDCJ and passed away waiting for a liver transplant. Long ago Sam's aunt & uncle owned the water front cafe at Ski Shores, we had some good times there, long, long ago!!!!!
Sammy was a longtime friend along with his mom and day; Joe and Bea. His final illness was related,in part, to our lost youth in heavy drinking. Nothing to be proud of. In his later years he often spoke at the Schoal Creek hospital about the evils of drink to groups of alcoholic rehab patients. He tried to do some good before he passed, hope he did. so long ole pal ytpj
