Ranch Heights

What have you been up to lately? What's filling your time now?

Retired from Dometic in 2015, then I started working as a private contractor. Worked for REMINGTON, in Kentucky for a while making rifles and optimizing their operations. They shut that plant down, and moved it to Alabama. So I went back home to New Mexico. Now I have a commission as a Notary in New Mexico, so I do a few jobs with that; site inspections, some loan closings and the like.

I do some fishing, and enjoy that; but there is not a lot of water in New Mexico. When we lived in Indiana, and Michigan we used to hire a boat and go salmon fishing. Before Mexico went to hell with all the drug wars we fished Cozumel and the Mayan coast. We even went to Cabo San Lucas for a fishing tournament back in 2019 --before the VIRUS hit.

Worked 8 years in Mexico as an Operations Manager for Dometic, and My wife taught me to play golf.

Hunting and Fishing, Archery, long range Black Powder shooting (steel shilouette)

I think I met John about 3rd grade. Close to when JFK was killed. As all have said he dressed verry well, excellent actually. THe "toughs" picked on him, but he would not fight or say anything back., he just walked away. Our parents divorced about the same time. I needed a friend, at the same time as he did. We had different backgrounds. He was gentile, and mild. I was a rough ranch raised kid. Yet we felt the same pain. We buddied up for a while, and gave each other comfort, and a confident. I was able ro divert some of the "Bulling" away from him. We were able to fish, and camp out together on my Grand Dad's ranch. Time past by, and as FROST said,,,,,,our roads diverged as we aged. I lost track of John, sadly. John was a gentile soul. I wish I had kept in contact. Maybe we could have been closer. But we make choices in life. Some good, some not so good. John GOD BLESS YOU!
