Story
Dwight was born May 28, 1951 in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Oklahoma University and began his career in retail by accepting a job in New York City where he went through the Sak's Fifth Avenue executive training program. He moved to Tulsa and worked thirteen years as the men's buyer and merchandise manager for Renberg's. After leaving Renberg's he went to San Diego on vacation, fell in love with the city and decided that was where he wanted to reside. He opened Axelrod's ¿ The Crossings, a resort clothing store in La Jolla followed by a unique gift shop filled with flags, banners and unusual gift items. In business, Dwight had a way of knowing exactly what his customers wanted, in life he simply loved people, he never met a stranger and his gift of friendship touched so many lives. He loved life and will be remembered for his terrific sense of humor and his knack for being there when he was needed.
Dwight's family expresses their deepest appreciation to longtime friends Pat, Dennis & Jody, Phillip, Hugh & John, Scott & Randy, who spent endless hours with him trying to lift his morale and help him recover. A special thank you to the entire staff of Sharp Memorial Hospital.

I think Tom (M.) Johnson's idea is great... what fun! I'd be glad to donate prizes, too. I'd love to go on a cruise.
